For centuries, professionals have collaboratively worked together to design and create support groups, websites and organizations to inform parents, children, young adult and educators about children with disabilities. The National Center for Learning Disability, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support, SWiFT, TASH and the Universal Center on Universal Design for Learning website provides valuable information about our students with learning disabilities. Each website offers different programs, resources, tips and research to help parents and educators provide a life for students with learning students and behavioral problems. The National Center for Learning Disabilities was founded in 1977 with a mission to improve the lives of children and adults with learning and attention issues. PBIS has created several levels to help promote positive behavior within a school or individual. The primary level focuses on the schools behavior as a whole, the secondary level focuses on a group or an individual’s behavior, the tertiary level focuses on the individuals inappropriate behavior and the district level focuses on the behavior of multiple schools at once. School-wide Integrated Framework for Transformation was designed to provide academic and behavioral support for K-8 students through equity based programs. From its inception, video games have been a medium of entertainment. As a medium however, video games are relatively young, with the first video game having been released to households in only 1972. That game was Pong, a game which involved two moving rectangles and a square. In less than 45 years we have games that range from Pac-Man to games with massive open worlds and huge cinematic stories that rival film and television.

As with other professional fields of study, scholarly journals play an important role within the world of information literacy. Peer-reviewed journals report on original research to make this information accessible to the information literacy community, including instructors, librarians, and students. Journal articles may discuss practical application of instruction techniques in classrooms, present research to further discussion, or offer thoughts from leaders in the field. For this journal analysis, I reviewed three publications relevant to the field of information literacy: Journal of Information Literacy, Communications in Information Literacy, and Journal of Education for Library and Information Science.
For my research project this semester, I would like to focus on Southern African Countries, such as, South Africa, Botswana and Namibia and their government’s response to the increasing cases of HIV/Aids across the region. For this project, I feel it would be useful to create a policy recommendation that’s outlines the problems with HIV/Aids in Africa and hopefully create a solution to decrease the cases to this plaguing issue. My proposed solution to decrease the rising cases of HIV/Aids in Southern Africa would be to devote more financial resources to educational programs and build health clinics across South Africa, Botswana and Namibia, which will encourage testing.
