Application of Kinesiology Kinesiology is a scientific study of movement, which is a very uncommon major. It may be about humans or nonhuman body movements, performance and functions as how they interact in real life activities. Kinesiology has many areas of studies to apply knowledge and methods around them. The use of kinesiology can benefit many people, as there are many career paths such as being an athletic trainer, fitness instructor or physical education instructor. Other than career paths, kinesiology can also identify problems within the body and have exercises and routines to help resolve the problem and result in a healthier state. Kinesiology can also improve the body

A career in kinesiology is a benefit since people can help each other be better and train them in certain ways to improve their body. There are many other careers, but they all result with improving the body and finding the imbalances and fixing those imbalances. Kinesiology is another great study and reason to learn about other medical ways to improve the wellbeing of the …show more content…
Many will find it useful for them once they have a great understanding and knowledge. The importance of the body should be a number one priority for most people, and that taking care of the body is good habit to do. With a healthy body, it gives a healthy emotional state, putting a good balance between the mind and body. Once they have a good mindset between the mind and body, they can help or find a career to improve others. They can train selves or with others to live better, have a better body balance, and improve. With Kinesiology being more popular as a major, it can result in more trainers or just people training themselves to improve oneself or others being in a better
Kinesiology is the study of body movement and physical therapy lies in a career that relates to aiding many people with injuries, diseases, or deformity. Rather than using drugs or surgery, physical methods such as massages, heat treatments, or exercise can rehabilitate the people to become the best they could ever be. Having the ability to help people physically and mentally has influenced my choice to enter the field of sport medicine. The soul purpose of a physical therapist is to help people gain their ability to move, decrease the amount of pain, and to be able to have complete function of their body.
When a college student says that they are a kinesiology major the first thought that may come to mind when thinking of what that person wants to be is a coach or an athletic trainer. Moreover, there are several different careers whom might pursue from a kinesiology degree. Kinesiology is defined as the study of the mechanics of body movements, so the careers capable of being pursued range from coaches or athletic trainers to physical therapists. One discipline in kinesiology that be will be discussed is the job of a prosthetic practitioner. Which will be the purpose of this writing, to inform you about this kinesiology career and the concepts of it.
I have known for years that I wanted to work in the realm of health science. I knew that I wanted to do something in sports medicine. When I took a deeper look into sports medicine I learned that there are many areas of sports medicine that you can get licensed in and that the sports medicine part would be a specialty to attach to it. So I took the list as started to look through it at each job that plays an affect in the sport medicine area. I narrowed in on Physical Therapy and then took the time to do some shadowing in it for my senior study.
As the time passes, people have become more lazy and getting sicker because of their health and not maintaining themselves active. Americans need to be more physically because it proves their health and self esteem. America is a country with 35% of overweight people, so to prevent that to happen we all need to stay active. Physical activity has a lot of benefits like being healthy; because if we at least go out and walk a mile everyday that can change our physically and mentally health being.
Over the last two months I have observed three different careers related to Exercise Science. I had the opportunity to observe a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and an Athletic Trainer. Going on these observations has really opened my eyes to what I want to do in the future after college and the requirements that I need to get there. With my Exercise Science degree I am aiming to be a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. An Occupational Therapist is a profession that helps people across their lifespan to do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities.
Athletic training offers many opportunities and characteristics that interests me for my future career. Athletic trainers get flexible work hours, multiple benefits, many great opportunities, and much more. They get to work with various types and ages of people from children to adults and work in many different areas. Athletic trainers have a wide range of jobs. They apply protective or injury-preventive devices along with basic first aid treatment.
I love the one on one aspect of nursing or medicine, which is what I loved about teaching. If I go into medicine, I want to go into osteology. Bones and the way they work is fascinating to me. The way a bone looks like a piece of coral, and the way they break, that’s something I want to study for the rest of my life. I personally have early onset osteoporosis due to my stomach issues, lactose intolerance, and having a history of anorexia nervosa all combine to weaken my bones.
At the end of my sophomore year in undergrad, I decided to change my major from Kinesiology to Psychology. The decision to change my major to Psychology did not come easily. I had some counsel in making this decision from my anatomy professor, which helped me discover my interest in mental health and the skills needed to live a meaningful and productive life. I felt my path in Psychology would greatly develop my knowledge as an individual entering into a holistic occupation where physical and mental health may combine. I spent the next two years in psychology courses never having a summer or winter off.
I am applying to your PhD in Kinesiology program with a focus on building upon relevant previous experience and education and preparing me towards my career. As a result of my enduring interest in sports, I studied Anthropology of Sports at the University. During my internship at the University of Calgary through the Student for Development Program (SFD), I had the opportunity to learn about the possibility and opportunity of studying sports at the University. Unfortunately, in my native country, there is generally a scarcity of experts in this area and specifically a negligible number of women in this field, and explains why I hope to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how sports can be applied to improve the general wellbeing (physical and mental) of participants and benefit to society. Given this opportunity, I hope to become a positive influence on women to pursue their dream in this area of study and also to fill in the gap in this field.
The guardian of health, it is what I think of athletic trainer. During clinical study in college, I accompanied athletes been through recovery processes, educated athletes methods to keep themselves from injuries, and experienced the greatest excitement with athletes when they achieved their incredible accomplishment. Attracted by every piece of this meaningful profession, I have chosen it as my career. My acquaintance with athletic training was in high school when I got a rotator cuff strain by playing baseball. While seeing numerous time of doctor, it had never fully recovered.
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be an Occupational Therapist. I always want to do things to help others in any way I can. Personally I have witnessed what this occupation can do to change the lives of others. To reach my goal, I realize I must pursue a six year college education which will begin with the fall 2017 semester. I am very excited about my future and I feel as if your scholarship will help me reach my goal.
Also, I have dreams of owning my own business and building my own brand at the same time. I want clients to understand I care about my business but I care about them as well. By pursuing a career in Kinesiology it will allow me to communicate with people.
I want to be part of such a rewarding career. I feel that the subjects I have studied have provided me with a good foundation of skills and knowledge that I will use on a daily basis as Occupational therapist. In Biology I learned about the human body on a physical level. I found learning how the body works to be fascinating and I look forward to expanding my knowledge even more with this course.
As you know, exercise is very important for your physical health. Exercising regularly helps keep your heart healthy, lowers your risk for type 2 diabetes as well as some cancers, and helps you get stronger muscles and bones. This is common knowledge for most people, but what if I told you that exercise has even more benefits that aren’t just physical? Today I will be informing you about the benefits of exercise on your mental health, resiliency and academic performance.
The athlete and the manufactures should have a high knowledge of physics, because all sports involve motion, mass, energy and gravity. Human internal and external forces and movement are essential for all sports. Many athletes, studies theirs internal and external movement and forces, in motion or in rest. Since, it helps to identify the best method to perform an action. Consequently, the study that deals with human movement, including internal and external forces that are in effect of motion or rest is called Sports Biomechanics.
