Roberto is in the leadership committee. Some fun facts about Roberto is that he cannot live without Chinese food or burgers. If he could go anywhere in the world, he would travel to England or Spain. Roberto 's advice to future seniors is to, "act like adults once you start school". If Roberto was to start high school again, he would have learned to drive sooner and would have been more talkative. Since freshman year, Roberto has grown up mentally and his attitude has changed. His favorite high school memory is, "the snowboarding trip and just the feel of being on the mountain on a board and going down the mountain." He is proud to have been given two awards his freshman year, one for psychology and another for language arts. Roberto’s plans after high school are to attend CU Denver to study architecture.

Jazmin’s biggest accomplishment in high school is staying in school. After starting a family at a young she continues to keep her grades up and be an honor roll recipient. Her advice to future seniors is to “never procrastinate, do your work as soon as it is given to you.” After high school Jazmin will go to college and become a Certified Nurse. If Jazmin could start high school again she would like to have done all her work to earn a higher GPA. This is a great time to be a Jordan shoe fanatic. It seems each new week brings news of a Jordan Retro release. These days all the news appears to be centered around the epic Jordan Retro 14. This shoe will always been remembered as the last shoe Michael Jordan wore as a Chicago Bull. The shoe he wore to win his sixth and final NBA Championship.
Maria was a senior in high school. Her plans after high school was to go to lone star college to do 2 years of basics, then transfer to Sam Houston University. Maria was excited to graduate high school because she was going to be to be the first child of her family to get a high school diploma but also be the first one of her family to go to college. Maria had big dreams.

Kaylee was involved in volleyball and the play during her freshman year. She was a basketball cheerleader during her sophomore year. She was on the bowling team her sophomore, junior, and senior years and was involved in band, FFA, and Motorheads all four years. She joined speech her senior year. If Kaylee could have a "do over" and start school again as a freshman, she would work harder on her homework and would try to get her grades even higher.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Gurleen Sahansra since she began at Forest Hills High School at the beginning of her sophomore year. Being a new student can be a difficult adjustment for some students, but Gurleen never faltered in her academics. Her organizational skills, persistence in times of struggle, and intelligence were only some of her wonderful attributes that helped her along the way. Those same attributes were also helpful in her selection to be a member of our Health Professions program and National Honor Society chapter. Gurleen is a sweet and quiet young lady with a wonderful sense of self and maturity.
The brave time travelers Adolpho Amador and Claire Cindrellon, traveled back in time to the Safavid Empire which is located in modern day Iran. They were carefully chosen and trained, they both speak fluent Turkish and Persian,which were the two main languages of the empire. Their destination and time period were heavily researched to avoid any complications such as battles. It was decided they were to travel back to Isfahan in 1639. They would be in the capital city in a time of peace between the Safavids and the Ottomans.

There are many ways that a student can benefit by participating in the Honors College, from growth in academics to development in communication and networking skills. The Honors College is a program that has a diverse amount of resources which can help me achieve my goals as I enroll into the university. Limary Rodríguez, 21 years old and from development, education and empowerment of young in the Latino community. I believe in the transformation of our communities by the exchange of ideas and the inclusion of all. But, in order achieve, we as young people need platforms like this program to help us grow as líderes and individuals. I have not had any relevant professional experience. But I am prepared to live new experience that will make me grow as a professional and a better human being.
