Riders all over the world train in endurance riding with all different breeds of horses. For Africa, the Arabian horse has created itself to be one of the most favored. This breed is originated from the deserts of the Middle East and is now used as a popular mount in Africa’s endurance rides. The Arabian breed has high stamina and its light bone structure allows it to travel long distances far easier than a heavy built horse. Horsemen and women like Laura Seegers, who is a successful breeder of Arabian endurance horses in South Africa, build their lives around preserving the ancient Arabian bloodlines to better the endurance horse.
