Youth Empowerment
In many of the countries where we operate, young people (14 to 22 years old) are a majority. It is estimated that the economies of the Middle East will need to create more job opportunity over the coming ten years in order to maintain current employment levels.
The task of finding rewarding employment will be particularly challenging for young people in marginalized communities with fewer

The fund aims to targets young people in marginalized areas by providing scholarships and loans to enable them complete education, and supplement their education with internship and mentoring programs.
Of great benefit to both young people and Aramex is our internship program, where we offer internships for +100 students per year.
Other actions that help reduce educational inequalities include the Aramex Excellence Award at the Industrial Engineering Dept Jordan University, and the Aramex Logistics Center for Excellence at the German Jordanian University.
➢ Challenge 3: Reducing economic pressures and demands on young people
One of the ways in which we help reduce economic pressures on young people is by providing employment opportunities to manage some of our other social investments. For example, we created the Aramex@Home (previously “Meals on Wheels”) program in Amman, Jordan. Aramex@Home provides delivery services for meals, medicine, and different products to people in Amman. We have college students aged 18‐22 who manage and operate this program under the supervision of our product Team Leaders. Over 500 students have been involved since inception of the program, and Aramex provides the opportunity for the students to receive an average wage 50% above minimum wage. This opportunity both provides financial

Through Aramex’s efforts, the company not only hopes to contribute to improvements in socioeconomic conditions, but also to set an example for other companies in Jordan by presenting successful case studies of its CSR projects to provide a framework for other companies to utilize in their own social responsibility programs. In early 2006, Aramex played the lead role, in cooperation with other private sector companies, in establishing the Arab Foundation for Sustainable Development "Ruwwad". This is a non‐profit company working to improve the quality of life for communities and individuals in the Arab world. The mission of this foundation is to facilitate private sector investment and participation in sustainable development efforts in the Arab world. Aramex has agreed to commit a minimum of $200,000 for five years beginning in 2006, giving it a 20% stake in the

The complementary relationship between low-wage immigrants and high-wage natives seems to hold even as the encounter between them becomes more distant and abstract. Middle class Americans are capable of buying a fast food meal and picking up a veggie tray at a grocery store or even having presents prewrapped before they are sent to their door all because of immigrants. Low income immigrants make the lives of higher income natives easier and more efficient. The promise is, however, that even if one cannot afford to use day care services, even if one does their own landscaping, even if one cannot afford to buy fast food meals or veggie trays, even if one shops at a dollar store rather than using the services of Amazon, one will still be better
Why is being a good leader important to me? Growing up I was always told it is important to be a leader not a follower, this gave me high aspirations. Leadership qualities help me meet my high expectations in education, co-curricular activities, volunteering and in my personal time. Leadership helps me to surpass others while reaching for my career goals. I am a student with a very demanding schedule and grades are my top priority.
the injustice and cruelty that runs rampant in the world, it is unsurprising to become determined to make things better for tomorrow. A moral grey area is the only thing separating those making positive changes and playing judge, jury, and executioner. Commendable yet unreasonable, leaders’ whose sole purpose in life is to fix what they see as wrong with the world fall prey to thinking there is only ally or enemy. They harm those they are trying to liberate in the long run. This is the downfall of leaders in many works of literature, including Harrison Bergeron and The Lord of the Flies.
Leadership is something I take part in daily. Since I am senior at my school, younger students tend to look up to me as a role model. I play three sports in which I show leadership in and teach others leadership as well. The sport I represent leadership best in, is basketball. I lead the team huddles, say positive things to keep my teammates under control, and I show a player a drill or play if they don't understand it.
Leadership is a characteristic defined simply as the ability to lead, but in my life leadership has taken a much more profound meaning. Leadership to me is more than doing a few more administrative responsibilities for the sake of holding a title, or a simple trait that somebody is born with. Leadership, instead, is a unique blend of qualities and characteristics that allow one to be a talented leader and therefore exhibit leadership, a blend that I believe I have embodied. While my application does detail a multitude of leadership positions that I have attained over my high school career, it lacks a metric to assess how one truly performed in their position as a leader, so I feel as if my application would feel incomplete without detailing

The Effects of Poverty in America “In 2007 about one out of every eight children in America was on food stamps. Today that number is one out of every five” (U.S Census Bureau). This statistic from the U.S Census Bureau illustrates how the poverty level of Americans is getting worse and worse. This statistic explains what every day poor American families must face and that it also greatly affects the lives of their children. In today’s society, America is ailed by the instantaneous increase of Americans living in poverty, causing families to take several risks in order to provide all of their family’s necessities.
Leadership is the ability to guide others without force into a direction or decision that leaves them still feeling empowered and accomplished. I found this ability within myself at a very young age. Growing up I was constantly surrounded by leaders, people who had no fear in taking the first step in the right direction. My mother was a leader when she got diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and beat it a year later. My Father was a leader when he started his own successful marketing business in the small town of Columbia.

The following passage is from Angela’s Ashes written by Frank McCourt, who was born into deep poverty during the Great Depression. Read the following passage carefully and examine to what extent the author’s implication of education holds in the society today. “ Mr. O'Halloran can't lie. He's the headmaster. All these years we were told the Irish were always noble and they made brave speeches before the English hanged them.
Focusing on the leadership of Epaphras and his spiritual authority to lead them, we witness Paul utilize “the same ministry terminology he uses for himself.” A handful of peculiarities manifests as a result on a ministerial leader. Firstly, the action of Epaphras himself, as Hiebert states, “Epaphras knew the result he expected from his prayers. He had grasped the reality of ministering to his people through his prayers for them“ Epaphras exhibits the duty of the spiritual leader to pry. Hiebert further discusses Epaphras’s desire for and manifestation of stability.
What does it mean to take a distributed perspective? Distributed leadership is one form of leadership. It highlights leadership as an emergent property of a group networking of interacting individuals. The concept of distributed leadership has swept through the theory and practice of educational leadership. It has become the theory of choice for many (Lumby, 2013).
Topic Part 1: Is shared and distributed leadership the only way forward for leadership within the current health and care context? Part 1 Introduction- Statement about Leadership Yukl(2010) defined Leadership as the process of influencing others to understand and agree about what needs to be done and how to do it, and the process of facilitating individual and collective efforts to accomplish shared objectives. Winston and Patterson (2006) stated leadership aimed to identify the diversity of their followers in order to achieve goals and can provide some support, training and education to the followers to help them to improve their abilities within the organization’s goals and resources to ensure the goals can be reached.
3.3 Leading The founder of ZARA, Amancio Ortega is known for his leadership skills as that has contributed a big part to his success. His success depicts a leader with a strong vision and is clear about their purposes at all times. It is said that he was an autocratic leader first where the concentration of power was focused on him. But once his business ascended, and his reputation became superior, his leadership style transformed to a democratic way of leadership.
