Homeschooling is a method of educating a child within their home environment, either as the sole source of education or as a supplement to other schooling. Nowadays, more and more parents are choosing home-schooling for their children instead of sending them to the government schools. This is because some children are found having frustration with the teaching standards in mainstream schools; they easily get disrupted in class. Special children who are suffering from personal disabilities such as learning disabilities and physical disabilities are encouraged to be educated at home. Children educated at home are usually well-socialised as they are given more opportunities to interact with all age groups, and not just their peers, than they would at school. Research found that home-schooling students are regularly engaged in social and educational activities outside their homes and with people other than their nuclear-family members. They are commonly involved in activities such as field trips, scouting, church ministry, sports teams and community volunteer works. In fact, one researcher stated that, “The investigator was not prepared for the level of commitment exhibited by the parents in getting the child to various activities. It appeared that these students are involved in more social activities, whether by design or being with the parent in various situations, than the average middle school-aged child." Therefore, it proves that home-schooling brings more advantages than disadvantages for children as they will not face problems in the social interaction and growth necessary at that
