“Is Hawaii’s Boring?” Entertainment is a key factor to commercializing the excitement for all areas of business. Hawaii is one of the most populated area in terms of tourism. Certain factors such as temperature, and resources make Hawaii amazing, but the entertainment provided from the culture itself makes the “Hawaiian experience.” There are over a hundred things to do in Hawaii. Hawaii has an advantage over the other states in the United States because we are diverse. We have easy access to an ocean and since our tempatures are warm, the demand of water is higher. The people of Hawaii take advantage of this and create personal private business. If you say Hawaii is boring after this essay, then you are a naturally …show more content…
In the Alawai harbor in Waikiki, I spoke with Timothy Rogness, a certified sailor for around 30 years, and he told me about all the independent/ private business that go on within the harbor. At the harbor, Tim used to post advertisement all over the premise of Waikiki offering people the opportunity to go from the harbor all the way to Diamond Head . He called this boat ride the sunset package. Many other boats in the harbor offer something similar to his package, but the most famous boat ride in Waikiki for young adults/ college students is the Party boat. Christopher Ibarra, my friend Ariannas dad, told me that the party boat is where he meet the love of his life. He said he gives the services and excitement factor a 100 percent thumbs up. Other water activities not mentioned here can be reserved or purchased almost anywhere in

Tourism supports the economy, as it is the strongest industry of Hawaii. When visiting Oahu, people usually want to see Waikiki, the North Shore, Pearl Harbor, and other beautiful locations. Similarly, The Big Island attracts tourists with its volcanoes, black sand beaches, and scenic views. Finally, both islands were formed by the same volcanic hotspot. Although Oahu is older than The Big Island, they were formed by the same hotspot in the center of the Pacific Plate.
Imperialism was a controversial idea that a nation can extend its power outward through means of diplomatic or military force. This often results in a shift of power from one major force currently in control to another. The people of that nation under control conflict may also experience wars, rebellions, or cultural destruction. Looking at some of these events, we see some positives and negatives of imperialistic action taken by the United States, and how it affected the nations imperialized by the United States. For starters, let’s look at Hawaii’s annexation.
Although the benefits of Hawaii are many, its citizens fight the war on substance abuse on a daily basis. Illicit Drug Use in Hawaii: Hawaii has a major problem with crystallized methamphetamine, which is called ice by the locals. In fact, Hawaii has such a big problem with meth; it has been considered the national capital of methamphetamine use since the 1980s.

In Small Island, Hortense is ridiculed in London by the host society for her aspirations despite being a Black woman. Hortense trained as a teacher in Jamaica and ‘was the talk of the college for several weeks.’ Hortense’s privileged upbringing is a reflection of her high hopes for England and the educational advantages she feels she will be entitled to in Britain. Although, Hortense is well-respected feelings of superiority often interject Hortense’s outlook on the opportunities available to her in Britain. Thus, she is alienated in the British educational system due to institutionalised racism and nowhere will hire her because she is black.
The Land of the Free… Well, Except Puerto Rico Whenever Americans think of Puerto Rico, they tend to think first of the beautiful Caribbean vacation destination. Whenever Puerto Ricans think of their island, they see the years of mistreatment and hardship that the island has endured. Puerto Rico has been the property of other countries for nearly five hundred years, but that does not give the United States a right to continue to ignore it. Puerto Rico’s status as a United States commonwealth keeps citizens from playing a part in fixing the political issues within the island. Without representation in the United States federal government nor political independence, Puerto Rico is powerless and silent.
Today, Hawaii had one of the world's’ most multicultural populations. If we didn’t imperialize on Hawai who knows what history could be like today, but I know it has helped the U.S. in battles, economy, and dominance over communist countries today. Today, Hawaii is granted representation in the congress and senate, and the birthplace of our current president, Barack Obama. Hawaii, as a U.S. state, is guaranteed the freedom of all citizens and safe from foreign aggression. If we didn’t imperialize on Hawai who knows what history could be like today, but I know it has helped the U.S. in battles, economy, and dominance over communist countries
The United State’s annexation of Hawaii in 1898 led to the gradual destruction of the Hawaiian culture and the almost-extinction of native-born Hawaiians. The majority of the Hawaiian natives opposed the annexation of Hawaii and wanted to maintain their sovereignty. Although the Japanese could have taken over the Hawaiian islands if the United States had not, the annexation of Hawaii by the U.S. was unjustified because of the treatment of the monarchy and natives, the infringement of the natives’ self-established culture and government, and the natives’ overwhelming opposition to the U.S’s involvement in Hawaii. From 1795 to 1874, the Kamehameha Dynasty ruled over the kingdom of the Hawaiian islands. Up until the death of Kamehameha III, the U.S. had stayed out of interfering with the islands.

“Mary Tsukamoto once said ‘I knew it would leave a scar that would stay with me forever. At that moment my precious freedom was taken from me’” (Martin 54). The Betrayal. The attack on Pearl Harbor.
This insensitive approach and method of development in Hawaii leaves the local community departed from its own identity, showing that there is not a single respect and a mercy to the native people. What more clear evidence of cultural prostitution than the desecration and annihilation of very holly burial places of the
Invasive species have been a massive problem in Hawaii since the 17s and 18 hundreds. At first, it wasn’t that big of a deal, but the influx of invasive species grew over time, and it became a dangerous slippery slope. Species that were once alienated poured into Hawaii and destroyed indigenous species that had been native to Hawaii for a very long time. Since then, the Hawaiian people and advocates of removing invasive plants and animals have banded together to help remove these species. There has been a great global effort to remove invasive species in all places, but the hasty spread of them has made it almost impossible to eradicate a lot of them. I think my group can majorly help with this by educating you all about the seriousness of invasive species.
The earth cannot support the lifestyle most of us are living, and we need to make major changes, however I do not believe that an island civilization is the solution. Island civilization might seem like a good idea on paper, however, it is hard to say if it can actually work. I agree with you that humans need to change their current lifestyles in order to prevent the Earth's destruction. Many of us are killing the planet with the way we live our lives. However, I do not believe that these "island civilizations" are the solution.
We stayed for only two weeks, yet they somehow became the most exciting weeks of our life. We are looking for another opportunity to visit Hawaii again. We will love to see the blue waters, the palms, and coconut trees, the buildings with such excellent architecture, the Pearl Harbor monument, and to chat with such delightful people as the friendly
