According to Bob Barr, “It's not a gun control problem; it's a cultural control problem.” Violence is one of the most cruel things on planet earth and is always being used against someone or something . People now want to impose gun control because of the violence that is causes but it is a hard process to deliver due to the people who are against it. Gun control needs to be enforced if people want to stop things like mass shootings and other outrageous crimes.
According to source 2 one cause for gun control is, A crazy person shot up a chapel. This is important because this is why the government wants to enforce gun control. The reason they want to enforce it is because people like this and they want to protect american lives. They also don't want a bad reputation either

This is important because the source says that there is no need for gun control because of the outrageous decrease in weapon possession. The government won't need to do anything because people don't want guns anymore. According to source 1 another effect for gun control is “He openly muses about an Australian-style gun control regime that would, incidentally, require taking everyone’s guns away.” This is important because if the United States want to get rid of murders and other things like that then they will need to follow the Australians way. If the government makes america's gun laws the same as the australians then there would be a whole lot less murders. The last effect of gun control is in source 2 and says “After the ban was enacted, homicides trended up until they reached a peak of 18.0 in 2003.” This is important because it is basically saying that this can be good and it can also be bad.
