Therefore abortion is impermissible because it will deprive the fetus from his/her future. Third reason why abortion is impermissible is because it punishes the innocent fetus. The fetus should not be killed just because his/her parents were irresponsible. The fetus did not take the decision that his/ her parents would have sex or use contraception methods that are not very effective. The fetus is totally innocent and should not be punished.
An innocent child is a gift from God, whether you like or not, the moment you engage yourself into sex activities or premarital sex you have the possibility of getting pregnant. Abortion is not good, there’s no such excuse that abortion is good and should be practiced. For me, this promotes immorality to mankind and insult to our Christian beliefs and ethics. Abortion should not be legalized in the Philippines, this is against God, corrupts mind, and threatens life. We should live in this world with full of faith and with moral
Many people have opposing views whether abortion is a moral right that should be permissible. Even though that a life is being “taken away” and not giving it a chance to experience said life, the right to life argument is hypocritical and contradicts its own moral beliefs. In this essay, I will first explain what the right to life argument is against abortion, why Judith Jarvis Thomson thinks it fails and then will give my explanation why Thomson’s argument succeeds that abortion is morally permissible even if the fetus has a right to life. I will also consider objections and show why they fail. The right to life argument believes that abortion is morally wrong because of the simple fact that a life is literally being taken away by force—that it is equivalent to murder.
Unborn babies are still human beings and have the right to life just as anyone else would. It is unfair to make decisions for a child when they didn’t choose to be brought into the world, but since they were, they should be able to live the life rightfully given to them. According to Judie Brown, “Abortion kills a human being; abortion stops a beating heart; abortion at any stage of an individual’s biological development is murder!” (Brown, “Face the Facts: Abortion Is Murder”) This quote blatantly states the ultimate truth about abortion and also says that no matter what stage the pregnancy is at, an abortion that is performed is murder. One of the largests abortion clinics has done millions of abortions, along with other health programs, but Joshua Denton found that, “Planned Parenthood has killed over 7.6 million babies since it legally began performing abortions in 1973 following the Roe v. Wade decision.” (Denton, “Planned Parenthood Killed 321,384 Babies Last Year Bringing Total Killed to Over 7.6 Million”) Planned Parenthood knowingly kills hundreds of thousands of babies every year and even tries to convince communities that are pro life convert to pro choice. They even try to pass different laws in different countries, such as Guyana, to allow middle class citizens access to health care providers who can perform abortions, which is increasing the death toll of unborn babies who are murdered around the
The difference is that unplugging is abstaining from care, and abortion is deliberately killing. And a pregnant woman cannot abstain from care. A proper analogy would entail not being able to unplug even if you wanted to. Additionally, you have gun and you can use it to shoot the violinist, thus, freeing yourself. If it’s wrong to shoot the violinist, then it logically follows it is wrong to abort a
The people who support pro life believe that all life is important and that an abortion should never happen unless to save the mother. The opposite opinion of pro life is pro choice and these people believe that it 's the woman 's choice to decide whether or not they want to have an abortion. On one side of the argument people believe that it 's wrong to kill an unborn child because all life is important regardless of if there born or not. Often the people who are “pro life” are also Christian or belong to another
If the fetus is a human person then abortion should be illegal; if the fetus is not a human person then abortion should be legal. The second is that the fetus should be considered a human person. Together these statements comprise the pro-life conviction that abortion should be illegal.”(Capps, 2010) He went on to state that according to the Fifth Amendment “that no person shall be denied the right to life”. This would mean that abortion would not be legal and would be wrong because it is not giving the unborn person their right according to the constitution. Next are those who oppose abortion because of religious views.
The flaws in the death penalty make the act even more horrible. Throughout the history of the death penalty, one can see it as a scream for justice, even though it is morally wrong as humans to play are playing God to one another. A society that is against killing and respects life should not purposefully kill another human being. Societal expectations are that one must have the correct morals intact that fit the norms of society. Regardless of these expectations, the government still denies that, ”An execution is a violent public spectacle of official homicide, and one that endorses killing to solve social problems” (ACLU).
Abortion should be illegal because medical practitioners who perform an abortion is taking the life of a living human being, capable of breathing, capable of crying and nurturing and cutting its life short before it has the opportunity to realize its potential. It should be illegal because the mother who is supposed to love it more than anyone else in the world, who is supposed to protect it is complicit in its pain, suffering and
On the other hand, those who are pro-life argue that human life begins at the moment of conception, that the embryo is not part of the mother’s body but that it is an authentic human life. Therefore, ending with that innocent life is killing someone immorally. Even though each point of view has valid arguments, there are reasons such as – the mother’s welfare, the wrong use of abortion, and the impact on society – that argument why abortion should not be legal and should not be determine by the decision of the woman. Researches have concluded that life begins at the moment of conception in the mother’s uterus (Anderson) so when women abort, they are in fact killing someone. Even those who state that a fetus is not a person until it born, they must at least acknowledge the fact that a fetus is a human life and a potential human being.
