There are three things in life that are unpredictable and uncertain. They are birth, marriage and death. People often wonder why they were born and how life is created, even though they might understand the genetic concepts of reproduction. Birth will always be a mystery, and some may ask if they can choose to be born themselves? Or is birth predetermined? Secondly, some may ask if the person they end up marrying and having children with is written in their destiny. Obviously, one does not need to marry someone in order to have children, but marriage exists for a reason. The third source of uncertainty is death. Why does death happen? Most do not know why they are born a certain way or why a women has given birth to them. Marriage is a part of being human for many people and provides a common interest in society. For many generations, humans have believed in the bonds formed between in a man and a woman and in the birth of new individuals. Marriage is a big part of culture in many societies. No actual time frame can be given for the start of marriages. However, in most religions and cultures, marriage is discussed and recommended, especially in instances where children are involved. Most of the time, life partners are people that individuals have chosen, and most people rarely think about the motivation behind this choice. In some cultures, choices are based on looks, which leads to dating, an early relationship, and then marriage. In modern society, marriage is not necessary in order to have children. Nobody knows who they will marry when their life begins; most of the time people chose their partners without really ever making a conscious decision on the matter.
