Congress is looking onto tax reform and one of the goals is to create greater economic growth. One such was is by increasing the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit. Currently the maximum credit allowed for working parents with two or more children is $2,100, but you have to have an annual salary of $100,000 or more to access the full amount. Middle and low income families do not reap the full benefit of this tax credit. Childcare cost per year is outrageous compared to the amount of the tax credit that available. If middle and low income families were allowed to access the full benefits, it could improve their quality of life.
