College vs. Trade School “Not all knowledge comes from college, but not all skills come from degrees.” says Mike Rowe (Top Ten Quotes about Apprenticeships & Skilled Trades, 2015). That being said, knowledge and skills can also come from college. But how should one know where to acquire skills and knowledge past high school? Of course, everyone will have a different answer to this question, but seeking students can compare the two to find out which is best suited for them. A student's best choice will come from what is accessible to them and what caters to their education best. The curriculum itself of a student in trade school will be much more focused on perfecting the skill set in which they study, while the curriculum of a college student will be much broader (Premium Schools, 2021). College students also have more of an opportunity to learn life skills like networking, working with others, etc. (Is a college education worth it?, 2020).
