Inhaling pollution can make you have asthma and diseases. If you have experienced any of these actions that has taken place in your environment this information given from the text will tell you about the symptoms and how to prevent air and water pollution from happening in your environment and a key healthy life. Most people that has been exposed to high levels of air and water pollution will have symptoms and diseases or side affects d such as headache, vomiting ,short of breath, and illness. Air and water pollution can be dangerous when tiny
THE IMPACT OF HURRICAN IRMA ON THE UNITED STATES ECONOMY INCLUDING TO THE VIRGIN ISLAND Monica Providence Mgt 213 Midterm Exam Dr. Professor Paul Flemming University of the Virgin Islands November 30th, 2017 THE IMPACT OF HURRICANE IRMA ON THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA INCLUDING THE US VIRGIN ISLANDS Hurricane is one of the most damaging natural disaster. They are terrifying to the occupants in its part as well as on the economy. The United States including its territories are vulnerable to hurricane damage, because one-third of its gross domestic product is from states along the Gulf and Atlantic Coastline (US Economy). Hurricane Irma with such magnitude of a category 5 hurricane creates a vast effect on the economy of
After looking into habitat destruction, I discovered that because of humans have been using too many plastic bags and afterwards have thrown them into the water, it has resulted in the death of approximately 100 thousand marine creatures. (Good, 2016) Plastic is a very harmful substance, and a lot of marine animals mistake it as jellyfish. Therefore, it causes them indigestion and consequently, a very painful death. (Animal Friends Croatia, n.d.) There are about 1 trillion plastic bags are used per year around the world. (Crusaders, n.d.) If this figure continues to increase, the lives of many animals will be at risk; and I find that unacceptable.
Moreover, it’s also the things we do on land that contribute a huge part in marine destruction. In fact, researches have shown that around 80% of marine pollution starts on land. Countries all around the world are suffering the loss of marine life, most importantly the coastal regions. Therefore, this is a crisis which must be solved before it gets too late leading to great loss of biodiversity and an increase in extinction of species as a result of overfishing and similar human activities. Destructing the marine life will, in turn affect us too, and it might be really severe.
A major problem right now is Glacier melting which if not stopped will kill way more people than 160,000 and also in a short time. The way Glacier melting will affect us is by increasing the water level in the ocean creating floods and many other disasters. According to “ The Weather channel” there are about 82 flood deaths just
Initially, one of the most significant important reasons why the government should save the environment is the serious industrial pollution. The first point is that the pollution of air, water and soil pollution suddenly cause some fatal health problems. There is no disputing the fact that the pollution has a tremendous surge in the human life because of a long – term elimination. For instance, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution kills around 7 million people every year and occupied one in eight deaths worldwide
We can read about global worming, about different kinds of diseases and decreasing fresh water. Water pollution is the largest cause of death and disease on the world. The Earth is covered with around 70% of water.Water pollution is caused by littering water, releasing chemicals and by oil tankers witch sometimes sinks and that is cause to a big oil spill (in the sea). Effects are animal’s extinction of fishes and decreasing of fresh water. Sea level is rising because ice caps are melting. Because of that are floods increasingly common.
At this rate, many people are affected. People who live in places with high levels of air pollution have a 20% higher risk of death from lung cancer than people who live in less-polluted areas. Animals are also getting affected by air pollution. Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year. Every day it’s getting more and more polluted and soon we won 't even be able to see the clouds and much more.
. The incident also affect 1100 miles of coastline in Alaska. And within six hours of the spill, 10.6 billions of gallons of crude oil have been spilled into the ocean. The specific damage of these pollutants to animals in the ocean is mentioned in the article “Who is responsible for marine debris? The international politics of cleaning our oceans”.
Not enough people are aware of the dangerous effects that water pollution has towards the environment and what causes it. Water pollution has disastrous effects on the environment that endanger aquatic species. Shockingly, “over 1,000 seabirds and sea mammals die from water pollution each year” (11 Facts About Pollution). This means that, even though, environmental organizations have made strides to ensure clean water, aquatic life continues to die directly by water pollution from the human species. Throughout history, water pollution has been an ongoing occurrence and sea life is still not protected enough from it.
