You shouldn 't believe everything you hear on the news because there is always many different sides to a story. For example Trump has been planning to build a wall to prevent illegal immigration. He claims that illegal immigrants commit more crimes and take away jobs. In order to verify the truth of trump 's claims, You should always use multiple sources to make sure you don 't get a biased article.
One of America’s most controversial issues today is the border between the United States and Mexico. The big part of the issue is due to illegal immigration, which is when foreigners enter the U.S. without an entry or an immigrant visa. President Trump says he has found a solution, otherwise known as the “border wall,” but this will not stop people from wanting a better life. Of course I get why he and others would want to continue the process obviously to keep us safe from terrorists and other dangers of the world, but, to every pro there is a con. Even though the fence along the U.S./Mexico border is already being built, it should not continue being built because it is expensive, hurts the environment, and immigration rates have significantly dropped.
Should America Have Better Gun Control? Why do we keep waiting? It seems that our lives revolves around guns. Should we keep allowing this to continue? Over the course of history most deaths are caused by guns.
Have you ever thought that this country, the United States of America is secured? Sorry to burst your bubble, but it never was, due to illegal immigrants coming from another country without a valid pass. Illegal Immigrant should not be allowed in the United States. There are many reasons why Illegal Immigrants should not be allowed, firstly Illegal Immigrants take jobs from Americans and Legal Immigrants. The next reason is because Illegal Immigrants cause more crimes to be committed. The final reason is because they insignificantly affect the economic state of the United States.
In 2013 an armed man went into a school and shot twenty-six little kids at Sandy-Oak Elementary. Not all of them died but many injured. Another time… A twelve year old boy, living in Mexico went to school one day. The boy pulled a shotgun out of his music instrument case and shot two students injuring them. Do you think there should be more gun control? Studies show there should be more gun control for many reasons.
To. Mrs. Hopkins, Recently, I have read your controversial and callous article ‘If Britain is prepared to provide an all-inclusive resort service for asylum seekers, the least they can do is wear a bloody wristband.’ From a student with a family member who has experienced being a refugee, I know that the issues regarding asylum seekers and refugees are critical in the modern society. Therefore, I feel that your article, mostly oversimplified and prejudiced, could mislead lots of readers to have undesirable views on those people who are in need.
In Central America there are high levels of violence, particularly, in regard to gangs who are specifically targeting women. Resulting in families fleeing to the United States through the southern border. In an attempt to stop illegal immigration the current administration has been placing migrants, when caught, in detention centers. This is done as a message to others to not come over, and also as a holding place until they can be sent back to their home country. This becomes more controversial because of who is being held in these centers. Families are migrating together and small children are being held in these detention centers.
Robert F. Kennedy once said that “Our attitude towards immigration reflects our faith in the American ideal. We have always believed it possible for men and women who start at the bottom to rise as far as the talent and energy allow. Neither race nor place of birth should affect their chances.” (Source: Dream Act). In American history, immigration started as when immigrants to depart their homeland for the reason that diseases, lack opportunities, and given freedom so forth. With this purpose in mind considering The United States says this is a “land of opportunity” thus, the US should still continue to give immigrants a chance to make their lives better and have the equal right as any native Americans. Throughout the decades, immigrants have been thought of as somewhat poor, but the bottom of
Gun control has been a controversial issue for years and numerous solutions have been proposed and enacted. The debate sparked after tragic civilian attacks, like school shootings. An example, is the tragedy in 1999 at Columbine High School. Two teens attacked the school, killing 13 people and wounding more than 20 others before killing themselves. Following this attack, numerous solutions have been argued and purposed. However, a definite solution still has not been reached and America is split on the topic. The solutions currently enacted focus on guns, yet America still has a serious issue with gun related crime attacks, and fatalities. Solutions should not solely target the actual guns, because guns are powerless without the person who fires the weapon. The solution should not be to take away guns, but to consider the people who have access to them. Addressing mental health is the real solution to preventing gun violence and attacks.
The United States Border Patrol has seen an ever increase in funding, especially since its collaboration and indoctrination into the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Through the history of the “War on Drugs” brought on by the Nixon Administration, it is clear that the ever expanding costs in order to combat an ever increasing thirst for illegal drugs, and weapons. Border Security is most definitely detrimental in order to continue increasing homeland security, along with keeping the citizens of the United States not only safe from harm, but safe from legal and economic implications direct towards the legal citizens at the cost of illegal immigrant behavior. It takes the works of all forms and sources in order for the nation to be
Immigration has always been a crucial topic in the United States government. Especially when it comes to giving amnesty and passing an immigration reform to 11 million immigrants, that live in the country. Many citizens believe that immigrants are detrimental to the well-being of the United States and do not agree with the passage of an immigration reform. One reason is that many believe immigrants take away the jobs of American citizens. Other reasons are that immigrants bring crime to the country and affect the economy.
There have been many causes due to the United States of America and Mexico border disputes. These include its extensive history through sources such as the several past wars and the countless disputes between residents. With the strong issue of territorial claims that contradict each other, treaties have been seen as useless with an even more inadequate attempt of fence construction as seen in Image 1. With many bandits and thieves in this area, drug trafficking and illegal immigration is an impending dilemma.
Any United States citizen can work, usually starting at the age of 16, but not in my case. Even though I am not a citizen, I can legally live in the U.S. and attend school, except the fact that I cannot work. It doesn’t make sense does it? Currently, any person with an H-4 visa cannot work while physically living in the United States. Having an H-4 visa means one cannot earn any income or possess a social security number. This law also prohibits things like working from one’s own home, obtaining used stuff for the purpose of selling it on eBay, or providing services in exchange for gifts or objects of value. This law is so uncompromising that it does not even allow volunteering completely for free if the volunteer position is one for which a person would normally be paid. This law has to change because it not only has affected my family in several ways for the past 10 years, but the thousands of immigrant families with an H-4 visa currently living in the United States.
A border wall would be necessary for specific reasons, such as drug control. Debate.org believes that a border wall will prevent drugs. Factcheck.org believes that a border wall will stop illegal substances from coming into this country. Lastly, blvdcenters.org believes that a wall will keep the drugs out. Nevertheless, a border wall would be a good resolution because it would keep the illegal substances and their smugglers out of what the people of America call home.
