Smoking causes early death” that is a warning written on almost all cigarette packs yet people still smoke till this day. Smoking is a practice in which a substance is burned and the resulting smoke breathed in to be tasted and absorbed into the bloodstream. Most commonly the substances consist of the dried leaves of the tobacco plant. I’ll be discussing smoking and the contradicting points of view towards this subject by people. A lot of people disagree with smokers like myself and others and see no point in using a harmful substance but still many people still smoke even though they know that they’re doing something wrong.

But over the time most of these ways and methods have not been proven quite successful in most cases because in order to quit smoking the main thing needed is a very strong willpower and a person who is determined to quit. These ways and methods of quitting mostly involve the most addictive substance in cigarettes which is nicotine. Most of these ways consist of nicotine gums, patches, inhalers and lozenges but using them without the willpower and determination is proven to be very ineffective. But quite recently there has been a new way that could aid a smoker to quit which is called an electronic cigarette or a vaporizer. The electronic cigarette have been proven to be quite helpful for smokers in aiding them to quit smoking and lower the medical hazards not only towards themselves but also towards others. An electronic cigarette uses a substance called e-liquid which consists of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerol, water and flavorings all except nicotine are used in canned food and aren’t considered harmful. Although the electronic cigarette contains nicotine it does not have other harmful substances such as carbon monoxide, tar and sulfuric acid which are known to be in cigarettes.
