Animals have feelings and lives too. “Like people, animals want to live, they also love and feel pain. Animals shouldn’t have to die just because some humans consider hunting to be fun.” (¨There Are Still People¨) Why would we take away a life just to use it as an award, especially since it’s against the law? It illegal to import animal hunting trophies. “Many animals imported as trophies are members of species protected under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), such as leopards and African elephants, the importation of endangered and threatened species is only for scientific research, enhancement of propagation, or survival of the species.
The number one problem with trophy hunting is that animals are being endangered. Hunters don't pay attention to what they hurt. “ They prefer to kill the most beautiful, the bigger, and the rarest.” ( In defense of animals) In defense of animals Hunters don't take in consideration for these rare and beautiful animals. What they want is the attention and pleasure. They killed thousands of exotic wild on representing hundreds of different species in foreign countries primarily in Africa.
There are many different causes and effects of poaching. Poaching is considered the illegal practice of trespassing on another's property to hunt or steal game. Poaching isn’t just about trespassing it is also about the taking of game while there are not in season or going over the legal limit to hunt. Some of the worst cases of poaching happen to animals that are very near extinction. Extinction is where a living creature no longer exists on planet earth, because of the absence of the opposite sex for which it can’t breed, or because hunter kill the species so fast that they don't have time to breed and repopulate their herd.
Just by reading the title of Philip Levine’s poem, “They Feed They Lion”, the reader is already given the implication that the poem may be somewhat cryptic to the non-analytic eye. After analyzing the title carefully, it becomes clear that the author was implying that the lion is a symbol for something bad. Just by deciphering this, one can deduce that the title is a metaphor for a group of people feeding into the said thing that is bad. Once the reader reads the poem several times though, it becomes painstakingly clear that the lion that Levine is talking about is the unprecedented hate that is so ingrained into human nature. A part of human nature that most members of the human race constantly feed into without fail.
Is it possible that lions are in a bad home ? Could it be that more people to come and kill more lions. These lions are could be endangered species and could be very protective and kill the hunters before they lure them. Up to 64 percent lions have been lured and killed for trophy hunting and 600 lions has been killed for sports. To begin with, trophy hunting should not be legal because the animals should be protected.
No way! Big game hunting should NOT be allowed. It can cause extinction, and can leave some animals with no habitats due to humans taking over their land. Big game hunting causes many different negative things to happen, but on of those negative things is that it can cause extinction. Currently, elephants are endangered because humans are selfish and want to take their ivory tusks.
Wildlife Conservation is often seen as a bad thing, but if you look at it from my perspective, then it is actually a good thing. People think of it as holding wild animals captive, but we are actually protecting them from poachers. The purpose of Wildlife Conservation is to protect the animals in danger, which I am in agreement 110%. Other people argue that we shouldn’t have conservations, but they don’t know the harm that can happen to unprotected animals. Now, there are some cons to wildlife conservation, but so many more pros.
Between 1850 and 1900, trophy hunting by early settlers in North America was largely uncontrolled with negative consequences for wildlife populations. Over one million were killed. Wolves nearly became extinct due to over-hunting and poaching. By the late 19th century, following the devastating impact of hunting by early settlers, there was recognition among some hunters for the need to protect the remaining population. During the early 20th century, conservation groups such as the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) and the Wildlife Conservation Society played key roles in the establishment of protected areas in North America.
Trophy hunting is a sport in which you select the animal you want to kill, the place finds the biggest one for you, then it is released and you shoot it. The trophy part is the animal itself or a part of it that is usually displayed, like elephant tusks, lion heads, etc. Some people think trophy hunting should be legal because it helps control the environment, while others believe trophy hunting should be illegal because hunters are killing endangered animals., One reason people think trophy hunting should be legal is because it helps out the environment. If you ban trophy hunting it could just make a larger threat to the environment and other ways. “There is a risk that
First, these animals are dangerous and they can end up attacking their owners. Secondly, these animals are born in the wild, and are meant to remain in the wild because they will have enough exercises, and get the right food. In addition, chimpanzees and tigers are unpredictable and they can end up attacking their owners or anyone near them. Therefore, people should not be allowed to keep exotic animals like chimpanzees or tigers as pets due to the severity of the issues they can cause, and the problems they have with their owners. Therefore, keeping exotic animals should be banned completely because, the number of injuries and diseases reported to be caused by exotic animals are on the rise, and the death tallies are even much
The overpopulation of Pollock is creating an environment with no sustainable food source for the sea lions. Commercial fishing would also provide an opportunity to fish in a way that is co-beneficial to the environment, rather than carelessly overfishing. In order for this plan to be successful, close numbers of Pollock, herring, and Western stock sea lions will have to be observed and recorded. If immediate action is taken, the sea lion population could rebound within a few generations. The stakeholders in this issue are environmental groups, such as Greenpeace, who firstly advocated for the ban on commercially fishing Pollock in Alaska, as well as the Federal government, who passed the legislature.
One more reason why a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico will not protect American jobs and reduce crime is because the wall will cut through the bridge of nature. On CBSN, Jeff Corwin state that, “Hundreds if not thousand of species rely on this natural movement of land.” What Jeff Corwin, who is a wildlife biologist is trying to say here is that this wall will affect our environment and ecosystem. This wall will cause destruction of habitat, loss of access to important resources, mortality caused by construction activity, migration routes blocked, and alteration of water flows. Someone else might argue that the animals can just simply find another route, but this is logically flawed because that route is part of the animal 's
Some pets are good, Bad, It just depends how the pets get along. All pets may be a bad choice, like pitbull and bulldog and other types of bad dogs. Coyotes are dangerous, Big, Not safe pet, because they could kill you. I would not get a coyote as a pet, because of coyote’s danger, They could attack us humans and kill us. I would suggest, Don’t ever go near a coyote because it is very dangerous.
Johnny Depp stated, If you don’t like seeing pictures of violence towards animals being posted, you need to help stop the violence, not the pictures. Animals are good to have around because they are entertaining to watch and play with. Animals are also good for getting rid of the bad thing that come into our world like the bad bugs. Animals are even used to test products such as shampoo ,medicine, and perfume. So therefore, Animal testing should not occur because it is hurting the animals and making them go extinct.
Organizations such as the Karisoke Research Center have been working persistently to remove these traps from the Virunga National Park and reported to find and destroy one-thousand of these traps a year. With mountain gorillas being constantly on the move every day, it is extremely hard for the conservator organizations to fully protect these gorillas from the dangers of these traps. In the 1960s Hunting of mountain gorillas was a recurring act especially in the Democratic Republic of Congo but the hunting of mountain gorillas has slowly become reduced, since poachers have recently had the tendency to capture infants to sell illegally. Virunga National Park in Congo has had a history of many mountain gorilla deaths due to poachers. In the years between 1990 and 1994, hundreds of thousands of Rwandan refugees migrated and took camp near the edge of the Virunga National Park, in those four years, three silverback gorillas were killed causing mayhem and more deaths in multiple mountain gorilla social groups.
