However, she had been given doses of morphine to help calm her nerves after the murders of her father and his wife. Lizzie was seen burning a dress shortly after, claiming it was an old one that had been ruined with paint. Lizzie Borden was arrested on August 11, 1892 for the double homicide. Her trial began nearly a year later on June 5, 1893. The mangled skulls of Mr. and Mrs. Borden were unveiled in the courtroom as evidence, thus causing such a shock that Lizzie fainted at the sight of them.
While police are looking around the house, the two women from the community look around the kitchen to see what clues they can find to figure out why Minnie would do this. They notice isolated existence and broken furniture and ragged clothes that she was forced to wear because of her husband. The story shows women in a male-dominated society, it shows how men accused her of just murdering her husband but not taking the time to understand why she might have did it. The police look around the home to see if they see the weapon but find nothing. It goes to show that, that’s all they cared about finding the weapon and just locking her up.
She never made it to that meeting. Nick allegedly went too far when he mixed her the “toxic cocktail” and drowned her in the bathtub of cold water. Nick is being sued for $40 million for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and conversion. Nick is also accused of stealing over $11,000 from Bobbi Kristina’s account while she was in a coma. No criminal charges have been filed against Nick although he does have to respond to the lawsuit leveled against him.

James King is guilty because of the witness, Lorelle Henry’s testify. Sandra Petrocelli asks witness, Lorelle Henry, what had happened that day and what she overheard. An example of this is they did not seal off the crime scene when they got to the house, or immediately after the body was found. The police and detectives also did not take statements right away from Kyla Ramsey’s family, Kyler, kaylie, and Kasen Ramsey. Basically the Boulder City Police Department was unprepared and unprofessional. Some people say the police made all Winn 2 of these mistakes because most of their best workers were off duty due to the Christmas holiday, but I think most people can agree is no excuse. Kyla Ramsey’s parents did eventually say their daughter was missing from her bedroom the morning of December 26, 1996.

One experience that was difficult for me was learning the truth about my mother and finally understanding that I could not save her. It all started in my sophomore year when my mother came to Tennessee. My mother was an alcoholic and I thought I could save her by finding her a job and keeping a close eye on her. Three days into her new job as a waitress at a Mexican restaurant, which I got for her because she was bilingual, I received a phone call from a police officer telling me my mother was intoxicated in front of a liquor store. My grandmother and I went to pick her up and immediately she started to blame the owner of the restaurant, calling him a pig and telling me lies.
So, Sheen got arrested in 2009 and was declared guilty with second-degree assault, criminal mischief and threatening. Then Mueller tried to get a temporary restraining order against him, but it was rejected. Although they got divorced in May 2011, it wasn’t the end of their drama. Mueller lost custody of their two sons after she was put on a psychiatric hold after a drug overdose in 2013! And, surprisingly, Denise Richards was declared the twins’ guardian until custody was granted back to Mueller in 2014 after 20 stays in rehab.
Edgar’s character towards his wife becomes barbaric because he forces her to have sex with him and emotionally blackmails her until she gives in to his sexual desires. Towards the end of the story Edgar sees the emptiness in his wife’s one good eye and realizes that she has been this way for a long time. But, instead of consoling her, he gets up and leaves her in bed alone. By doing this, it shows the lack of communication between them, and further exemplifies his barbaric character. This mannerism is also demonstrated after Edgar finds his wife’s lover’s letters in their closet.
