I believe that marijuana should be legal for recreational purposes in the United States. This is because it would provide the United States many benefits if we were to make it legal, and the fact that it actually hurts us as a country by having marijuana illegal. If we were to make it legal, it would make the economy better. It would also bring down crime and get many people out of prison. In addition to this, it would also undo injustices done in the past.
