Is it possible for a person to create philosophy, dissect animal parts, open their own school, and write 3 books in one lifetime? It is, and the person who proved that true is Aristotle. He created all these things in his 62 years of life. He was born before the Scientific Revolution. However, he made the most important contribution to the Scientific Revolution. Reasons are Aristotle helping to influence the church (which starts the Scientific Revolution and helps Christian philosophy), helping to influence other scientists and philosophers and their discoveries, and has helped in different fields of study. In the Scientific Revolution, every scientist or philosopher has their own study or discovery. However, Aristotle exceeded beyond that standard. He helped many scientists and philosophers to help make their discovery. He either impacted or assisted in their discovery. Take, for example, Francis Bacon and Isaac Newton. In his philosophy, Aristotle believed that the way to understand nature is to use reasoning and he also helped start ideas about the scientific method. Francis Bacon then took it and create the official scientific method and he believed in Aristotle’s philosophy about nature. Some of Aristotle’s notes are also related to the law of objects at rest. He made some discoveries about objects and their motion. After that, Isaac Newton took his study and turned it into the first law of motion, which we still use today. Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) greatly influenced Renaissance society through his scientific discoveries, inventions and inquires about the heliocentric system that disproved misconceptions. Galileo invented and improved many devices that influenced Renaissance society. One of these improvements was the telescope. With the improvements of the telescope, he discovered Jupiter’s Moons, Calisto, Europa, Io and Ganymede. Many reliable, unbiased sources such as Iowa state university (2001) prove this, “When he realised that the stars were actually going around Jupiter, it negated a major argument of the Ptolemaic model.”

Francis Bacon discovered and popularized the scientific method. Francis Bacon practiced law to support himself when his father died. He supported for reform; promoting the consolidation of the U.K., speaking out against religious persecution, and opposing feudal abuses. Francis Bacon’s writings on skepticism, the need for empirical evidence, and the four causes of scientific misguiding set the stage for scientific advancements throughout the Enlightenment period.
Theology is the study of religion, faith, God and God’s relation to the world. Science is the study of the world based off of experiments and observations. In the beginning the two were combined, both looked to answer and study the world and how it was created by God. As time went on things began to change. Science started looking for more substantial proof and information, while theology still relied on what could not be seen.
