Chandler captured what it means to be in a profession of the modern army professional. “Being an (Army Professional) means total embodiment of the warrior ethos and the Army ethic. Our Soldiers to live by an ethic when their leaders and mentors are not upholding the standard. These values form the framework of our profession and are nonnegotiable” (Excellence, 2014). The Balancing Role of the Profession’s Leader The United States military is a joint force that is comprised of volunteers who raised their right hand to defend the nation against foreign enemies. A volunteer force allows the Army Profession to be a proud vocation built on honor. Honor is stemmed from the seven Army Values. The Army Profession motivates, educates, and allows fellow peers to grow. A culture is a body of people who have the same beliefs and values that come together for the same cause. The Army states there are five essential elements that comprise the Army Profession-trust, military expertise, honorable service, stewardship, and esprit de corps. Each element creates the Army’s Culture. The United States Army was founded 14 June 1775. Through the decades past and present customs, doctrine, traditions have been passed through the written and verbal word ensuring the culture of the Army stays true. The 34th, operating as a unit of the 24th Infantry Division along with many others endured some of the most horrific combat, under awful weather and terrain conditions during the War in the Pacific. The 34th Infantry Regiment securing the island of Mindanao lasted until late September of 1945. Their efforts resulted in upward of 22,000 Japanese soldiers surrendering. More than 10,000 Japanese Soldiers died in combat on Mindanao. From April to August of 1945 approximately 820 U.S. soldiers were killed in eastern Mindanao and 2,880 were wounded.

The Army Reserve Careers Division (ARCD) is an organization within the Army Reserve in which I am assigned to as an Army Reserve Career Counselor (ARCC). My organization is responsible for the providing the soldiers of the Army Reserve excellent guidance and counseling to decide the proper course of action in doing their part to defend our nation. The planning stage sets the directions and selects means to meet the mission. Leadership develops the vision that generates goals and objectives.

I SrA Dofonso Fernando am writing this letter on behalf of my family and myself. I believe I would benefit from a humanitarian reassignment. I am applying for reassignment to Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada due to financial, emotional, and health circumstances. This reassignment would benefit the military and I as I could focus on my health and my family’s health, organize finances and have the ability to provide for my family if I was not geographically separated. The financial burden of maintaining a household in both Hawaii and Nevada, due to our physical separation at this time, is also a hardship on our marriage and ability to exist as a family.

These title ten missions on top of state duties make unit strength one of the key factors for the ability to accomplish these assignments. This topic is Soldiers In War and 1 of the many reasons the topic was chosen because a thought was that it would be fun/interesting to write about that. Personally hoping to get answers to most of the question because it would nice to know more about this topic! When this topic was brought up it was strange, some people went to war but never came back it was hard to think about. One thing that would be nice to know is why do they put themselves in danger to help our country. When they sign up to go into war they are signing up to possibly die.
Here I am, Mary Jones, in the Fancy's sector sitting alone in the middle of the government building run by the Superior. The Fancies, the people with all the money and power are the only ones who are allowed to be in the Superior.
