Each finish option is beautiful, with rich, full colors and a wooden texture providing detail. There are 22 frets set into mahogany, an ART1 bridge to anchor the strings, and an ACH1 humbucker in the neck position with an ACH2 at the other end. The Ibanez has a three-way switch to control whether just one or both of them are active. The inlay is a very simple pearl dot design that lets the natural wood take center stage, and all hardware is chrome.

Out of the box the Ibanez has a clear and balanced sound. It is warm and mellow through a tube amp, being most suitable for jazz and blues. However, with accessories like a modeling amp, pedals, or stomp boxes, you can do a lot to shape the sound to make it more suitable for other genres.
