As I approached my senior year of college, my relationship with Hannah had grown into something amazing. I had known for awhile that I wanted to marry her, but I started to think about the timeline of it all and when would make the most sense. After toying around with several ideas, I decided that sometime over the summer after I had graduated would be best. While I was home on leave after graduation, I went ring shopping with my parents. We visited Rivard Jewelers in my hometown of Lexington, KY.
After college, anywhere I am writing about sports is my goal. Whether that be for a professional sports team or whatever other opportunity crosses my path. I hope to gain a lot from attending the Honors College. I 've always been the person who loves to work hard. Being in the honors college would be the next step, and help me meet people just like me.
“If I knew then what I know now I would have went to college and furthered my education” mom says. Even though she didn’t go to college, she inspires me to live the life she didn’t have the chance to live. My mother is the greatest impact in my life. Yes, you can say I’m a “momma’s girl”, I love my mother with all my heart. She is beautiful, loving, smart, and I would do anything to keep her happy and by my
I first became interested in UCLA by attending the “I’m Going to College” events during middle school. After attending my first event I was awestruck with the passion and pride the university students had. That night I came home to research the nursing programs provided. The thought of potentially being able to complete my clinical immersions at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center is something I am looking forward to. The Wooden Center is also something at UCLA I am interested to get involved with.
Needless to say, I am not the typical age of a college student. However, I had always told myself that I would someday re enroll, earn a degree, and graduate so that I could be a prime example for my four children as to what never giving up looks like. I believe this college would enable me to earn a degree without taking on a heavy financial burden. In addition, I appreciate the flexible structure of programs which would fit into my current lifestyle as a busy mom. And, I definitely love the maturer yet diverse environment the school has to offer.
Chickering(2013) highlighted that student have the opportunity to interact with other students and faculty, to join student organizations and clubs, and to take part in discussion and debates. Students ranked "interpersonal skills" as the most important skill used in their daily lives in a 1994 survey of 11,000 college students. They learn social skills, how to interact with each other and develops skills which make them innovative, after the students have these skill they could easy going and communicate with their future colleagues and their working partner. Furthermore, college allows students to explore career options. Indiana.edu(2013) noted that colleges offer career services, internship, job shadowing, job fairs, and volunteer opportunities in addition to a wide variety of courses that may provide a career direction.
The skills acquired throughout two years in that class has gotten me an offering for a job as a secretary after I graduate high school. Having this job will be a great help since I plan to attend a community college while working, and afterwards leave to a university. In conclusion, my goals for college are to complete my first two years locally and be certified in marketing. Then I will
I am a past camper of Camp Marist. My first year at camp was during the summer of 2009, I started off in La Petite for the second session. I have practically begged my parents to bring me back to camp each summer. I love seeing all the friends that I made in previous years, and look forward to meeting so many new ones. I have been to Camp Marist for 6 years.
My mother has not only been my role model in these three ways, but many more ways. I hope one day I can grow up to be the woman she is. I know that my children will definitely be raised how my mother has raised me. I am forever grateful that my mom has been a great role model in my
In my reflection paper I will discuss about our speaker Dr.Maksin and what she discussed about during class and what I have learned. Dr.Maksin went over a few things about her interviewing analysis, she discussed the Interviewing process for students just graduating from college with a Bachelor’s degree. Dr.Maksin discussed some of the jobs that we would be able to apply for at the facility (Legacy) that she currently works for, and what some of the staff’s duties may require. Dr.Maksin also discussed about the different programs she is in charge of at Legacy and what those positions may intel. I have learned from Dr.Maksin’s discussion during the class that most in the psychology profession are in the field because it’s a passion.
Jazmin’s biggest accomplishment in high school is staying in school. After starting a family at a young she continues to keep her grades up and be an honor roll recipient. Her advice to future seniors is to “never procrastinate, do your work as soon as it is given to you.” After high school Jazmin will go to college and become a Certified Nurse. If Jazmin could start high school again she would like to have done all her work to earn a higher GPA. Jazmin is a “Senior Leadership Ambassador” at Skyview Campus and is also a member of “Event Planning” committee in Global Campus, her uplifting spirit and commitment is wonderful to have around while we are trying to improve our community.
Interviewing Taylor Hughes was an interesting experience. We all asked the same questions from a list of questions given to us. During this interview Taylor and I learned a lot about each other. She responded to my basic interview questions with some interesting responses. Taylor and I met during a team building activity our freshman year at Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy, during our first two weeks.
The most important one that will get her where she wants to be in life, is graduating college and getting her RN. She knows that having a steady job with steady income is very important, so of course she is going to move up in the health care field. This leads me to her second goal which is becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. It has to deal with anesthesiology and she is super excited to start helping people recover. Her last goal is to work at UAMS.
