Most cosmetologist are employed by salons, or own their own business. They have 16 career clusters and their salary range is from 17k-52k. Cosmetology is a lot of work but if it’s what you want to do follow your dream and be successful.
While investigating this topic I intend to inform myself of the historical aspects of couture; such as how couture came about and the different houses or designers that impacted it. I would also like to find out how the couture industry has changed and developed through history. Furthermore, I would also like to inform myself of the hand embellishment techniques, past and present. Throughout my research I discovered numerous videos portraying the processes of dressmaking and hand embellishment in the Haute Couture industry, including fashion houses, such as Dior and Chanel. Everything I do allows me to gain more knowledge and skills in the fashion industry. I am taking business classes at my school and local community college. I study marketing and psychology, so I can better understand how how to sell your look to consumers. I am quite possibly one of the most artistically challenged people, but I am constantly trying to teach myself how to sketch a woman’s figure. I work on it day in and day out.
