Most of the time the State and Local government is what most people will deal with when there are problems or things that they want to change. With the completion of the B Impact Assessment, Rachio received a score of 78.5 out of 200 points. Although Rachio has above average environmental, governance, community engagement, and employee relation standards, there are steps the company can make to improve their overall impact as a business and become B certified. Rachio’s positive environmental impact aside from conserving water for customers has a lot of potential to grow. To improve the environmental score on the B Impact assessment, we recommend implementing additional sustainable practices within the corporate office. Tracking and reviewing water and energy use, along with waste and greenhouse gas emissions will provide an understanding of the company’s environmental footprint, and what changes should be made to reduce these.
Local government, then, is an essential instrument of national or state government which unites the people of a defined area in a common organization whose functions are essentially complementary to those of the central government and in the interests of the local residents since they satisfy common community needs. All communities have problems and needs which 89% are shared by their citizens and which can be alleviated only by their joint actions, generally through government. Just as government in general is the means by which all the people can do jointly what they cannot do, or cannot do as economically or as effectively, acting alone, so local government is the means by which the residents of a local community can together accomplish what neither the national or state government nor the individual residents can accomplish as adeptly
Bruce Power is a stakeholder because if the plant does not go up then they will not make money. The people in Peace River are stakeholders because they are one who could be affected if there is a disaster and they also have to deal with having a large plant going up near their homes. Lastly there are the people who will be getting power from the prosed plant, if the plant does not go up then they will have to stay with the power provider they have, which may be unreliable or

On completion of the case study about the SAS Institute, I stormed across these four factors; Job performances, organizational citizenship, Absenteeism, Turnover. According to the case study, these four factors have proven to have the strongest influences over work behaviors. Furthermore, the approaches the leadership of the SAS institute takes towards them, I believe, have been the essence of their success. Their approach is unique and is likely not what employees are a to in the contemporary firms and different places of work, it is, ‘’the value they have towards people’’
The management structure of any firm is directly influential on the overall performance of its workforce. The ability of management to introduce programs that align production and culture to the strategic goals of a business provides a significant influence on the overall performance. The interaction with external elements if managed correctly tends to provide fundamental properties to achieve sustained competitive advantage. Leadership programs also play a major role in ensuring that companies remain in line with their strategic objectives. This report will cover the degree to which the leadership program of PWC build on its human capital and strengthens the capacity of PWC in its contribution to global sustainability.
Sisk explains that “local community participation is the cornerstone of modern notions of citizenship because its institutions and decision-making procedures may allow for a more direct form of democracy in which the voices of ordinary individuals can be heard most easily” (p.13). The element of participation allows for inclusive and consesus-based decision-making processes that are essential for a well-functioning and responsive local democratice government and institutions. Participation is a democratic system, however, does not entail that every member of society needs to participate. Rather, it is the element of openess that is a defining characteristic of a responsive democratic system as it allows any willing member of society to participate (Ibid, p.29). An open system does have many barriers to the expression of dissent, and limits the disadvantages of the poorly organized.
