The Greek goddess Athena is usually portrayed as one of the strongest gods in Olympia. As Greek Civilization shapes gods that represent their desired identity, Athena is known as the goddess of wisdom and war. She is known also for her intelligence and power. Through her existence, She demonstrated this power. She was born straight out of Zeus’ head. Athena played a huge role in Greek Mythology and till this day is praised for what she’s done for the greek society. Through the beliefs in Greek Mythology there were obviously greek gods. The Greek religion included the gods , heroes , stories , civilizations and rituals. These are still reflected in today’s modern society. These can be found also in the christianity religion. Most of the tales that are told are all myths . The two types are creation and explanatory. Gods were worshipped at sacred sites and temples in all major greek communities by the priests.

Athena was chosen for her courageousness and for being unique, not the typical cliche reasons like “She wore armor” , “She fought in wars and kicked butt”. In all honesty, she is very different from the other gods / goddesses. She may be a well known goddess but the reason why she is well known is because of what she has done for the Greek Civilization and why still till this day she is praised for what she has done and has that title. Athena is culturally so significant because no matter where you go or look about about her, theres all these stories , statues , items , etc. that involved her or represent her.
