I already know legislators have responsibility to represent the people concerns to the state and federal level. I find interesting that legislators did not pass the H.R. 829/ S. 436 bill yet. To be part of the change I will advocate to support the safe play act, sports medicine licensure clarity act.

I already know the importance of athletic trainer at the work place. I did not know that by having athletic trainer it will reduce the company spending on health insurance by 50%. I find interesting that impact of athletic trainers in the work place. I will be part of the change by advising companies to hire athletic trainers.

Career in Athletic Training Athletic trainers are highly qualified health professionals who are trained in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity. (“Explore Health Careers” 2015) Usually when you hear Athletic Trainer, you may think that all they do is sit around and wrap ankles. But there is actually more to this job, including an abundance of responsibilities. I am interested in pursuing a career in athletic training because i get to help athletes recover, and/or prevent injury so that they can continue to enjoy the game.
Concussions are a big fear in any sport from ice hockey to cheerleading. That is why sports players should get a regular check-up for concussions. One of the main problems are that deaths are occurring from unaware parents or trainers. A young man that played in maryland died at the prime of his life because of head trauma. Most of the time, they are the first source when a player gets hurt or injured. Without trainers there would be a lot of untreated injuries, and less athletes, but there is a certain level of education and skill required for this job. First and foremost, one should at least have some type of interest for athletic training. This really goes for any job or career, if there is no appeal to a job, then there also won’t be any full commitment. With that being said, trainers should consider if this is the career they will stay devoted to.
Health and contact sports are something parents worry about as over 500 deaths in the past 3 years from contact sports alone are making parents stand out against these sports and if the government doesn 't do anything about it the number of 7% overall contact sports drop will just keep getting lower and lower each time.
