The earth’s atmosphere is like the roof of a greenhouse; it concedes the sun’s energy to get in, but blocks some of the energy from being transmited back into space. The atmosphere controls the temperature of the earth because it absorbs most of the suns energy. Earth’s temperature would drop to the Absolute Zero if there were no greenhouse gasses. We are increasing the concentration of gases in the atmosphere, as a consequence, the sun’s energy that is fascinated by the atmosphere is being retransmitted back to earth’ which increases the temperature of the Earth.
