When I first learned that I could potentially become a member of the National Honor Society, I wanted to achieve to become a member. I know this organization does great deeds for the community all around the world; I would definitely take pride to be in the organization that ensures that a difference will be made. I would also like to generate a difference in my generation along with others. National Honor Society always recognizes students that are exemplary in and outside of school. For instance, my GPA is 3.9 as my grades are my top priority in school and that is what colleges will be looking at along with other criteria’s.
I love my sister and my nephew, but I want what is best for me and for any children that I might have in the future: stability, freedom and choice. I believe the best way to achieve this is to go to college. I will forever be grateful for the encouragement my family gives me. My grandma, my aunt, my mom and my sister are all wonderful mothers, but they know how important it is for me to break the cycle of teenage pregnancy and go to college. As I complete my college applications I feel as if all my hard work in school is finally paying off and my childhood dream of going to college is becoming a reality.
The main reason I am attending college, is to obtain my degree and start working in a profession that I enjoy and exceed in. I am looking forward to finally being in a place where I am happy to be. Where I feel I can contribute and be heard. To have a voice, and to have people really hear you is a great feeling. Even better when it helps others and helps you to feel better about yourself and what you are doing.
Has it always been necessary to attend college after high school? Well, it has always been a very promoted "mainstream" idea among many. While actually going to college has its many benefits, it also has its downsides. But how beneficial the aftermath is, is all up to a decision, options, and availability. Even though College does bring new experiences, it furthers education, its 's an overall challenge, and in the end, you still have the certification.
Ever since I was a little boy attending college has been a goal of mine. Attending UA Early College allows me to accomplish that and it allows my college career to begin. It also allows me to jump-start my college career. This provides me with academic challenges that serve to help me with higher learning and future endeavors in college. I want to attend college to further my education, be a role model to others and to better the life I live today. Furthering my education is important to me, I am always eager to learn something new and implement it within my daily activities. My high school career at James Madison High School has prepared me to be successful as a student at Radford University because of how competitive it is. Parents, teachers, and friends are always pushing me to be the best that I can be, whether that be with my education, social life, or relationships. The faculty and students at James Madison High school have given me a deeper view of the world. I have been exposed to many different ethnic groups and situations, good and bad, which have helped prepare me for the 'real world ' at college.
