I decided to attend the Majors Fair event because I am a very open minded individual. It has been established that I want to be a psychologist, but this event confirmed it even more. It was great to speak to someone who went through a similar path as me in achieving their career goals. I was well informed and was given two pamphlets regarding my major. I attended the workshop with my friends. They are from completely different fields but were also well informed about their major. As they asked about their major, I kept an open ear and listened to everything that regarded their major. I learned a lot about the different paths I can take when I receive a psychology degree. I even got an estimated salary of what a person with a bachelor’s and
Hi Yasna, It 's Samantha, the associate you interviewed Friday for sales lead. Sorry for the extremely late email, this is the first chance I 've gotten to write you. Today I went by Children 's Place at Eastridge, and spoke with Diana. You had asked me to see what I noticed that was different from Eastridge and Valley Fair, and the first thing that I noticed when I walked in was how much smaller the store is compared to Valley Fair. I also noticed how there is less traffic coming through at Eastridge then there is at Valley fair.
My first experience at the Carolina Country Music Fest was extraordinary. It all started Friday after my friends and I unpacked our stuff at the hotel. After we brief catching up we departed to the Carolina Country Music Fest. During the walk our anticipation grew; Keith Urban was going to plan in less than an hour! As we arrived to the venue, our wrist bands were scanned and we rushed to the stage.
Six flags great america (1) When I walked into Six Flags I could hear the music from the carousel playing, and smell the popcorn, and nachos. The people there with us we 're Kara, Kathy, Lisa Jorgensen, Natalie Digllier, Copper, Payton Makena and their mom. Some of them asked me if I wanted to go on the ride called the Raging bull
This opportunity not only helped me make new relationships with people in my chapter but showed me a glimpse of my potential as an FFA member. I also improved my confidence in public speaking. List the Career Development Events that you have participated in. Explain your experience and how it has helped
Coming to Cal was great for me because it was the first time I had found a real LGBTQ community. Growing up I always moved schools so most of my friendships were fleeting and upon settling for high school the Gay Straight Alliance club was extremely small so coming to Cal provided a great sense of community and belonging. The summer before my first fall semester, I took a few classes to get a feel for the campus which ended up coinciding with Obergefell v. Hodges and SF gay pride which is where I made a lot of friends. Whether it is going for drinks in the Castro, dressing up for the Folsom street fair or going to social events at Oscar Wilde, Cal has provided an amazing sense of acceptance and a safe space. During the spring semester, I preformed
When I started high school, the club that excited me the most, was National Honors Society. So, at the first chance I got, in my sophomore year. After being a member for a year, I quickly realized that I wanted to take on a leadership opportunity in the club. So, I took a shot for the stars, and campaigned for being president of Honors Society. Though I had some competition, I put my all into composing a speech, and I won the presidency, and I have been president since.
New Plans One Saturday morning, I woke up at seven in the morning to go to an amusement park called Six Flags. The plans had been made days ago, my two older sisters, my brother, a friend of ours and I would be going to Six Flags and spend the entire day there. As I got up after finally getting my alarm to finally shut up I walked over to the bathroom to take a shower when I realized that the ground was spinning, in my eyes at least, I had a vile taste in the back of my throat. I quickly fell back onto my bed feeling like if I hadn’t
I gave them advice on how I adjusted to the difference. At the end of the semester, the Korean student gave me traditional chopsticks and the German student gave me German cookies. Moments like this show me that although we were from different cultures, we were still able to make a connection with each
The status and reputation that come with the title of valedictorian are both gratifying and frustrating. This honor exerts a considerable amount of pressure on me to put forth my best and exude intellect off the top of a hat. Sure, it feels nice to be the smartest guy in the grade, but the responsibilities and expectations are overwhelming. While a dignified and respected recognition, people view me in a different way, upholding me to a different standard.
6 Flags Fun It took about 10 minutes of riding rides when Cameron said the most tariffing thing "let 's go on the Superman! " We went to Mom and Alissa then the Superman! To me the wait felt like 1 hour. Then I saw Cameron and Dad they went way up high and...
I participated in Summer Show Offs for two years, before my sophomore and junior year of high school in Auburn. The counselors and camp itself really helped me emerge out of my shell by preforming songs out of my comfort zone. The constant encouragement and upbeat attitudes from my counselors for sure made an impact on the experience of SSO. Through the summers I attended, I learned how to express who I truly am through song and dance, the camp introduced something to me that I would end up loving. I particularly love the song choices and the meaning behind some of them.
My trip to the National FFA Convention it all started on an early chilly Wednesday morning at 6 AM on October 30, 2013 in Bartley, Nebraska. Twenty-one students, two bus drivers, and three advisors loaded onto the bus. Everyone was tired, but ready to go, and excited for our long 12 hour adventure to Evansville, Indiana our final destination for the day. We were off we all thought we would take naps until we were there, but that didn’t happen we were all too excited, so we all stayed up talking, and laughing.
Cross country conference. One of the most significant races of the season. I have to run my fastest. I can’t let my team down, I have to place. Seventh grade year, 2014, and I can’t wait.
Four years ago we went to Disney World just my family and me, we had so much fun that we decided we would go again in four years. We started planning the next trip almost immediately; we were all so excited to go back. It was not going to be just us this time; my aunt and uncle’s family would be coming with us this time. I remember waiting those four years, and they felt like forever. When it finally came time to start packing (three days in advance) we made sure to prepare for what we did not last time.
These experiences taught me how to tune my ideas into actionable goals fine and how to juggle multiple responsibilities. I was also able to cater my message to various populations and communities in a relatable way. Many of my team members and colleagues were pursuing master’s degrees in social work. My two AmeriCorps years are where I learned how the degree would complement my experience to better my performance as I climb up the career
