Abstract
This paper we are going to talk about the problem facing for most aviation companies for analysing and comparing commercial aviation accident statistics, using some examples of commercial aircraft accidents and how aviation companies works through to solve the cause of the accident. As the commercial airlines have improved domestically, great number accidents have occurred as well and due to this, we will also talk about the safety that can be improved on to prevent such accidents again.
Introduction
The commercial airline industry have become a very safe mode of travel through the years of aircrafts travelling around the

Comparing and Analysing of Aviation Accidents
Throughout the years of aviation accidents, investigators have been researching and analysing accident reports to study the cause of the accident to identify and increase the chances to find the lead for the accident and thereafter implement new safety rule and regulation by recommending correct actions to be taken. (Clinton V. Oster Jr., 2013)
Research shows that the global aviation safety data involves analysis of safety data that needs taxonomy for the data set. Differences between the set of data can be risky due to similar analysis but base on different taxonomy can be confusing. An example will be if Boeing accidents reports had certain commercial aircraft used with 60,000 lb MTOW meaning this statistic will include most large aircraft statistics but not necessarily includes the safety aspect of other aviation system. This means that when looking for statistics, it is mandatory to know the correct taxonomy before used. (Sky Brary: Aviation Safety Performance Report and Statistics,

They provide safety rules and regulation to all transportation for U.S. such as aviation, railroad, highway, marine, pipeline and hazardous material safety for the U.S. NTSB was founded in the late 1967 by an Independent Safety Board Act determine to conduct accident investigation and implement safety rules and regulations by evaluating them.
Through public actions and decision accident report, NTSB studies their accident report and conducts special investigation to implement safety standards through U.S. to prevent any further accidents. (Sky Brary: National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), 2018)
Objective NTSB is such an experience accident investigation agency, that foreign agency calls NTSB for their expertise and knowledge to assist for the investigation. The accident that NTSB chooses for investigation is not just an ordinary accident but is selected for the purpose of implementing it into reports for it to be used for studies for future engineers about aviation safety and as well as inventing new ideas and projects to prevent such accidents
What statistical reports are used by the health information department?
Because of the fire, many new safety regulations have been issued. “Every building has to have a enforced fire drill and fire alarms” to keep the workers safe (The Labor Law). In 1970, the government created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to make sure that the new safety regulations were being enforced. The girls in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire all died a horrific
By letting the businesses to focus on making profit instead of spending their money on their workers safety. This allowed the presence of horrible working conditions, overcrowding and the lack of fire safety instructions. The fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory is what made the radical change for the government to create the FIC, the Factory Investigation Committee. Investigating the working conditions of industrial factories and to make necessary improvements for safety if needed is why the FIC was created (Pool 2012). The commission in its preliminary report stated, “ In the matter of industrial production, we are still under the sway of the old laissez-faire policy, and there is still very inadequate supervision of industries with a view to lessening dangers to the health and life of working class” (Preliminary Report, 1912).
On September 25th 1978 a Boeing 727 just minutes before landing crashes in San Diageo, making it the first site of the biggest aviation disaster in the US history. Pacific Southwest Airline Flight 182 was having an early morning flight on the coast of California. It was travelling from Sacramento to San Diageo. Co-pilot Robert Fox, a 9 year old veteran was in charge of the plane alongside Captain James McFeron who was with PSA for 17 years, he was appreciated highly by his colleagues for his flying skills. It was the second flight of the day for both men.
After the tragic fire safety laws and regulations were made by the state and federal government. The Legislature in Congress immediately set up an investigation to see what caused fire. While exploring the factory the investigators found many safety and health violations. After 222 witness interviews and investigating 1,836 places of businesses there was a proposal by the Commission for certain laws. From 1911 to 1914, there were 36 new authorized laws to improve the labor codes of the state.
According to AF McEvoy, the fire was “the most dramatic example of industrial disaster in the annals of American labor history” (McEvoy, 1995). This tragedy sparked outrage among the public and drove a movement to improve workplace safety. As a result, the Factory Investigating Commission was established, which led to the passage of numerous labor laws that aimed to protect the rights of workers. These laws established standards for working hours, wages, and safety measures, and provided workers with the right to organize into unions.
In the year of 2009, a breakthrough occurred when America obtained its first African-American President, Barack Obama. With our new president also came an improvement in our health care organization. Two Outstanding Sports Franchises, reclaim their glory by winning championships in their respective associations. Super Bowl 43, voted the greatest Super Bowl in history, was a heart breaker. Also, tragedy struck, with a massacre at a military base and a railway collision near the White House.
American Airlines Flight 1420 June 1, 1999, a McDonnel Douglas DC-9-82, dispatched as American Airlines 1420, crashed after it had overran runway 4R, at Little Rock National Airport. The flight claimed the lives of 11 people, including the captain, and 105 passengers received serious or minor injuries, including the first officer and flight attendants (NTSB, 1999). According to the NTSB, this accident was due to pilot error (NTSB, 1999). This report will exam all human interaction as well as performance, utilizing Dr. Scott Shappell’s and Dr. Doug Wiegmann’s HFACS model, so one may find the route cause of the errors, and prevent similar accidents in the future.
Safety is a condition characterized by minimal risk of harm coupled with protection from potential harm. In health care, patient safety involves instituting mitigation measures to prevent potential adverse events. Unfortunately, the existence of potential adverse events is only recognized after such an event has occurred. Reporting an adverse event, therefore, is the first step towards developing mitigation measures. However, some nurses fear reporting adverse events, because they erroneously believe they will be penalized for the occurrence of such an event.
Although many of the first aircraft produced were not very safe, many significant improvements were made in the coming years reaffirming the belief in the effectiveness of the
American Airlines Flight 587 Title: Aircraft Accident report: In-flight separation of vertical stabilizer of American Airlines flight 587, an Airbus Industrie A300-605R aircraft on November 12, 2011. Author of this paper are Nitin Jayant (2012CE10371) & Jitesh Kumar (2012CE10355). Abstract:
Abstract The accident on McDonnell Douglas DC-9-82, N215AA of 1991 is a good example of an aviation accident that occurred majorly due to human factors. This paper aims to analyze the main causes involving human factors that lead to the crash. The two core factors associated with the accident include; fatigue and situational stress. Both crew members sustained long duty day that exceeding the maximum waking hours.
Executive Summary JetBlue Airways is a company that applies innovative technologies to offer high quality travel services at a lower cost (Shrivastava, 2012). A SWOT analysis of JetBlue airlines shows that despite the numerous opportunities and strengths it has, it is exposed to threats and weaknesses that pose challenges in its operations. The threats include issues like strong competition from other airlines and the volatility of the fuel prices. JetBlue Airlines is relatively new to the market when compared to its major competitors such as the Southwest and Delta Airlines. Most of its strategies have worked to its benefit.
Aircraft Performance Through the chaos and mayhem of World War 2, the aviation industry made significant advancements in its technology. After the war ended, this technology stretched and expanded to the farthest reaches of the world. Frank Whittle of England and Hans von Ohain of Germany both created the world of aviation that we live in today. Both men did it without the knowledge of each other throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
From 1914 to the present, air travel has been one of the greatest ideas men has ever thought about. What’s better than traveling around the World in just a few hours? Is there something better than air travel? I’m not sure you can argue with that. However, on the other hand, I can argue with many things about traveling.
