My choice of college would be Stone Brook University! Why? Well is because it's in a suburban area that reminds me that I'm still home and most of all it is a one hour drive from where I live(Obviously the university it is located in Stony Brook). The college itself is a public institution with an undergraduate enrollment of 16,480 students. The college was founded in 1957 and it is considered as one of the top best colleges, ranking as #89 in the class of National Universities Ranking. Luckily I have a small advantage of this amazing college because it offers a tuition & fee of $8,855 for students in-state, which is affordable compared to $23,935 for students out-of-states. However that reason why this college caught my attention was because
There is no particular reason why I chose Franklin College. I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do when I get older. A part of the reason why I chose Franklin College is because it’s far from home but, it’s still in Indiana. Franklin has a variety of places to work at and it’s located in a suburban

College is an important time in every child’s life and making the decision can be a life altering decision for some people. College can be a very massive step for some people, and making the right choice between two different colleges. Bowling Green State University and Towson University for me seem like the right fit. but some roles that are playing in my deciding choice are cost, closeness to home and the area.
Picking to attend a Community college for me is the best choice that I picked for my education. Community colleges provide a great service to students in many more ways other than just education. They help students who are unsure what they want to do or are unable to attend a four year university. Community Colleges also provide continuing education even after they have gotten a degree and a job.
Samuel Seium. The summer after I finished high school, my first job was at Macy’s because I knew that they would give me the flexibility to come back during the winter and summer breaks from college. My father said that he knew someone that worked there that could get me hired. I attended Virginia State University (VSU) to study Criminal Justice because I was considering being a lawyer or working with teenagers. I learned about this school from a tour that my high school provided and I liked it because it was close to home and had a lot of history. VSU was the only school that I applied to and it was the best decision that I made because I enjoyed the people and the school environment. After my sophomore year, I quit Macy’s to work at a Lexus dealership as a valet because they paid three dollars more than Macy’s. My friend who worked there informed me that the Lexus dealership was hiring and he would put in a good word for me. After my senior year of college, I did not return to the Lexus dealership because they did not give me the
The following is 3 different colleges that I have looked at in the past 2 years and are going to be the examples of what I think are great options for good universities to go to.
I’m inspired by the fact that Sacred Heart University places a high value on expressing its Christian faith and traditions in practical ways in order to benefit the student commune, and to graduate individuals, capable of benefiting other communities. Furthermore, the university has worked hard to make its beliefs, faith, and standards relevant to students in the twentieth first century. With the impression that Sacred Heart University is committed to not only develop the intellectual abilities of its students, but also their social, spiritual, and personal growth, I’m confident that through implementing my past experiences and dynamic world view in this university, I can uphold the mission of this university.
Four years ago I made a decision to attend Davidson Day HIgh School (DDS). I was choosing between two schools in the area. I made a list of positive/negatives with each school, then waited for some sort of sign. I went to the Charlotte Knights Baseball game, that’s when it became obvious what to do. You could say it was a coincidence or simply ironic... while watching the next player walk up to bat, on the back of his shirt read “Davidson 22,” my lucky number and the name of my prospective school. He then proceeded to hit a homerun. Now realistically the positives outweighed the negatives but it was a moment I felt was my personal sign of affirmation to attend DDS.
Ever since I was in the fourth grade, I have wanted to go UW Madison because I thought Bucky the Badger was cool. But now that I am older, I can see more to a school than just its mascot and I believe that UW Madison is the college I want to attend.
I am Julianna Jenkins an outgoing Musical Theater major with a dream to be an entertainment lawyer. I have been going to Appomattox Regional Governors School for 3 years as a Musical Theater Major. One of the reason I fell in love with Greensboro College is because it has a small community and that will give my an opportunity to grow. After meeting some of the Musical Theater students from freshman to senior they all said that they have gotten support from student and teachers at Greensboro.
I have loved living on my own, reading hundreds of pages on Aquinas and the Pseudographica, researching the literary history of Martian science fiction, staying up late wrestling bugs out of Tetris code, writing scripts for robotics research, and working to digitize thousands of alumni archives. College is something that I enjoy and am doing well – it it the specific college, and not academics, that is prompting me to transfer. My goal is not to radically change my path, but to continue with my successes in a place that is more conducive to the life I want to lead.
The University of Colorado Boulder has one of the greatest campuses and great programs perfect for each student attending. Its diverse community brings student to want to apply to this college. The reason why CU Boulder is a great school is all the people in it, they are all part of the CU Boulder family, the staff, its students all play a part in making the school a great option for new incoming students. That is what I saw when I went to visit the campus and researched. The family of CU Boulder was something I wanted to be a part of. I would be a great fit and could bring my different culture and hard work to this school. My only goal is being able to graduate with the knowledge for my future career.
Deciding which college to choose had to be the most stressful decision I could have ever made. I had so many things to put into consideration. I was beyond ready to depart from home, yet I was not ready to leave my family behind. Did I really want to stay home and work or go off to school? Understanding the differences between living at home with my parents and having my own place had helped me to further my decision on which college to attend.
The choices and decisions that one must make throughout their life have the potential to affect later points in their life. This being said, it’s even scarier to think about when you are only eighteen years old and deciding on a college that will completely shape the rest of life. When thinking about a college to attend for at least the next four years, many things need to be discussed and taken into consideration. The first thing is to narrow down the options, in this case the options are Harvard and Stanford. The academic program, athletics/track program, and the campus life and community are all things that will have an impact on choosing why I think Stanford will be a better fit for me over Harvard.
