Babe Ruth: an Artist What is an artist? Can it be defined as a person who is exceptional at drawing or painting? Or can it be a person who is skilled at something they do? Dictionary.com states, “An artist is a person whose work exhibits exceptional skill (Artist Definition).” Therefore, anyone who has a job that requires skill is an artist.
