Table 4.1 displays the frequencies and percentages of three skills which are subordinate to Learning and Innovation skills in the first three chapters in Bahasa Inggris. This table also points out that Bahasa Inggris incorporates Learning and Innovation skills. It is observable that the three subset skills included the Learning and Innovation skills space out evenly on the analysed chapters. The Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills are the most frequent subset skill in Bahasa Inggris as many of 93 times. Communication and Collaboration skill, which was in the second place, accounts for around a third of total frequency. Although amounted to the least, specifically 10%, Creativity and Innovation skills are also present in this textbook. …show more content…

To do this activity with partner, students are required to be more collaborative by working effectively and become more flexible and willing to make any necessary compromises in team work. Students are also expected to use the language function that has been learned previously to do this activity so that they can use communication for a variety of purposes and communicate their thoughts effectively in various forms of communication (http://www.p21.org/about-us/p21-framework/261).
On the contrary, Discussion Questions (see picture 4.2.3) stresses more on the Critical and Problem Solving skills as it trains students to reason their arguments and chew over others’ arguments, evidence, viewpoints, claims, and beliefs, so afterwards they can make a relationship between arguments, decipher the information, and draw a conclusion (http://www.p21.org/about-us/p21-framework/260).
