For example, my family goes to my aunt’s church in Lafayette for every Thanksgiving. When I asked a few of my classmates, they said that they go to their grandma’s or aunt’s house. Another one of my classmates says he goes to Ohio. On the other hand, some of my classmates go to a different location each year. They said that
"Many Cherokees today go to church just as any other person does. I, personally, went to both the dances and churches while I was growing up", said Kathy Van Buskirk who is a Cherokee from Oklahoma (Buskirk). Because the Cherokees live so close to the earth, each native tribe with the Cherokee tribe are very religious. This is why most all of them recognize the belief system as an integral part of the day to day

Where I listen to Pastor Kara, sing, and read the Bible just about every Sunday. Rebecca was a puritan woman who practiced her religion widely and freely and was always seen with a Bible. She wasn't afraid to show off her religion and was proud of it. Being a Christian as well, I am proud to worship and display the what I believe is the truth. For example, when a girl one day questioned my religion in school and made fun of me for it, I stuck up for myself rather than let myself, my morals, and my God down.
Like Ranya, who eventually found an imam with whom she shared the same beliefs, I was also able to find Filipino immigrants who helped and support me and my family. Aside from Ranya, I could also relate to Priscilla. She mentioned how her being a Jew is her way of connecting to her father. Just like her, I feel connected to my grandmother whenever I go to church or when I pray. My grandmother is one of the people who taught me a lot about prayer and God.

I have maintained believing in my religion by performing many actions. For instance, I go to church every Sunday, and I like to volunteer helping teach little kids on Fridays. Additionally, I read the bible, and pray every morning and every night. These actions I have done helped me maintain my religion throughout middle school. My following personal value is keeping a healthy relationship with
Have you ever seen a city packed with over 15,000 people wearing red shirts, serving their community? Well, this year I was able to be apart of it. Thanks to Church of the Highlands, based out of Birmingham, Alabama, lead by senior pastor Chris Hodges we were able to make this happen. Through encouragement of the church I was able to serve in its annual “Serve Day,” in Ensley, Alabama, contributing my skills of grass cutting, painting walls, and playing with children. This hot mid-July day started just like any other in Alabama.
“The families will celebrate with an evening feast and will be fast asleep when we deliver the gifts. Wrapping and labeling the gifts they will deliver Kris looked at Martha and said. I’m excited about this, how about you?” “I am too,” she said putting another present in the large cloth bag they will use to carry the gifts. Christmas morning, after the gifts were delivered, the little church is full of people wanting to give thanks. With so many excited and happy children in the congregation, showing and sharing their toys, the church is noisier than usual.

(Pp. 165-211) Understanding ministry, I can relate to how Howard Thurman thought he had found his permanent church-home at the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples in the position as full-time minister. However, with his qualifications also his experience many universities and other churches were requesting his expertise. As co-founder to see his dream of segregated Christians in America accomplished, ideas for his church were plentiful. Furthermore, dreams of building and expanding were already on the table.
I sat and thought about that all through church and was in awe of my father’s love for God. A love that parents have passed onto their children for generations in my family. Throughout the years growing up since that day I went to various youth groups, masses, and retreats but it wasn’t until my church sent me on a mission trip that I really understood what the love of God was. It was the Summer of my Freshman year in highschool and I was all packed and ready to make the long drive to
RCCG Family Praise Chapel 's mission as a church is to strengthen marriages and families, encourage Christian fellowship, evangelize, and minister to the needy.
