Participating in the Barcelona IES program will allow me to flourish in my academic, professional and personal goals. My time in Barcelona will allow me to use both my Psychology major and minor in Sociology to compare individual behavior and social norms in a new country, more specifically looking at the concept of personal beliefs and social values around health. I want to be able to compare the health care system in Spain to the one in the United States, which in turn coincides with my Public Health minor. Taking courses such as Spanish for Global Health and Cultural Perspectives in Psychology will will contribute to my academic goals of comparing and contrasting the healthcare system in Spain with cultural norms at both individual level
There was no life-changing event or catastrophic injury that ignited my passion for medicine. It started out as an interest that grew as I grew. Through volunteering in the healthcare field as well as leadership at my university, I was able to eventually put into words why I so dearly wanted to devote my life to medicine; simply impact and leadership. My interest in becoming a physician was always there, I loved the idea of being able to apply my scientific knowledge to help heal people.

National Junior Honors Society Essay By: Megan Pacchioli I am very excited by the opportunity to represent my school as a member of the National Junior Honors Society. Both in and out of school I support the Five Pillars of the NJHS, which are scholarship, service, citizenship, character, and leadership. I represent these five pillars by my grades and academic achievements in school, my dedication to my church, my dojo, and my soccer team. As well as taking part in my communities activities, being a responsible person, and manifesting my leadership on the court/field out of school.
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.
As a child, I was never aware of my family’s financial struggles. My parents divorced when I was 12 and money became the central issue in my life. I found myself worrying about mortgages, health bills, and grocery money at a very young age. As I continued to grow, I vowed to myself that I would not struggle financially the way my parents had to. I want to escape the socioeconomic status I was born into, which is why I am pursuing a post-secondary education.
I’m a Christian 17 year old teenager that wants to be someone big, and shine God’s light in this world. To begin, the summer of 2016 I attend to my very first camp. With that said I have an amazing youth leader who I love so much and supports me in everything she encouraged me to assist to the camp “OVERCOME.” Turns out to be a total blast, I was 15 at the time, it was from my church. The weather, the place everything was wonderful, waking up to worship The Lord, it was when I believed when they say that we live for Lord, because I was giving everything, every second of my day to him.
Nothing takes the place of face to face meeting to bring business partners together but it takes a global travel company like Carlson Wagonlit to engage clients through service, visibility, management tools, technology, and safety awareness to surpass the completion and obtain their part of 6% share of the global mid-market increase through to 2020. By the way congratulations on your “tremendous win” at the IMA awards. I have built my career on two principles; add value and integrity. I’m the person who thinks about the emotional connection with people through a great story while driving business development growth and sales strategy, and then I go about building upon that foundation. I understand entrepreneurial spirit as I have the passion to lead the activities resulting in increased awareness for the Carlson Wagonlit Travel brand.
I was born in Guadalajara Jalisco and raised on a small ranch called Atemajac de Brizuela. My dad left when I was small kid, but came back when I was three years old. One year later my sister was born. Once my sister was born my dad decided to come to the United States because he knew that he had better opportunities here than in Mexico. Four years after that I came to the U.S.A at the age of nine not knowing a single word of English.
I hope my time in Spain will aid in refining my communication skills and my foreign language proficiency, both of which are becoming more of a need in my chosen profession in the U.S. With a Fulbright ETA fellowship, I hope to be a representative U.S. American who educates people about the difference between what they see and what is real. I defy stereotypes by being a mentor, teacher, and future doctor, who can engage in two-way cultural
UC Personal Statement Prompt #1: Family is Everything If you don’t wake up every morning wanting to be the best, then you should just stay in bed. Becoming a successful person is formed by hard work and the people I love have shaped the future for me. Since my family has taught me that change can be certain and radical in adjusting lives, I would like to hold that capacity sometime in the future. I look for the ability to enhance my life and additionally the lives of everyone around me.
The primary users of this study are the Hispanic students, even though the population is small. Majority of the parents in that community have little education themselves. There are only 0.3 % Hispanic students attending the school, so there won’t be much of a need for specific cultural information on Spain.
I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.

Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
From a very young age I have been interesting in attending Indiana University. My father continued his college education at IU and has instilled a strong bond with our family and the school from a young age. As I grew older I became more interested in whether IU would be the right fit for me. After doing further research during my high school career I became more familiar with IU and all of the opportunities it has to offer their students. The Kelly School of Business and Maurer School of Law are the perfect resources to continue my educations and fulfill my ambitions of obtaining a JD/MBA.
