1. Introduction
State Bank Of India, with a 200-year history is the largest commercial bank in India, with it being ranked 60th in the list in the top 1000 banks in the world. With over 20,000 plus branches in India and another 190 foreign offices spread over 36 countries across the world, it is currently a supremely large organization with pan globe presence. For the purpose of this Report the focus will encompass the working of one of the Global SBI wings that is present in the Asia Pacific region, Singapore. Each of the above mentioned Banking organizations have a strong presence within the Singaporean Markets and for that reason alone there are many avenues and conduits through which they use the multiple Banking products to cater to a very large Market.
As product portfolios are created, there are some definitive champions in the class of customers they service and the amount of funds they generate to plough back into their business to create more shareholder value and provide to the customer delight. Some banks like DBS utilize lots of front end funding to capitalize on building up on emerging technological proficiency, and creating large branches with classy infrastructure and attract customers.
Following is a brief critique on the Banks mentioned above and their product offerings within the Singapore Retail Loan market.

It has pan Asian presence and for a very large audience it has the best branch infrastructure, and the best digitally active and technologically endearing Banking Systems. In the Customer Loan market, it has the vast presence of servicing Loans to the tune of 275 Billion SGD across the multiple geographies that it operates within. DBS over the years has developed fancy solution in digital channels and over the past year has enjoyed the growth of 8% increase in Online Banking users and 28% increase in Mobile Banking users. Among the many accolades that it has received over time, some of the most prominent were the award for “Domestic Technology & Operations Bank of the Year” and “Singapore Domestic Retail Bank of the Year”.It is also known for its immaculate Online Banking initiatives and has received kudos for it being the 10th strongest Bank in Singapore. The table below shows the various product offering from DBS, it is interesting to note though that it does not have Premium Financing as one of its Loan product

Organizational Strategy and Objectives The foundation of Wells Fargo’s strategy is its focus on customers. The company’s strategy tends to drive the choices they make and also enable them to prioritize its efforts, differential from peers, and build a lasting value for customers, employees, communities, and shareholders. The diversified business model tends to provide the company with the stability and the strength as it assures communities and customers that it exists to serve them and also the future generations. The objectives of the company are to be the leader in financial services in areas of team member engagement, customer services and advice, shareholder value, innovation, corporate citizenship, and risk management (Wells Fargo n.d).
Based on the products offered by Barclays most of the customers seem to be getting what they envisioned while contracting the services offered by Barclays. Though the profits have dipped, the continued increase in the number of customers to approximately 48 million worldwide, is a major indicator of a firm offering value for their client’s money. Rarity is another way to evaluate the strength of the strategy. With the growing financial market and increased spending on research, many competitors, have found methods to be at par with institutions like Barclays in technology and management. In products provided, there is no unique product setting Barclays apart from the rest.
2.0 Introduction Starting with branched out from Binariang GSM Sdn Bhd as a subsidiary, Maxis Communiations Berhad (Maxis) is a service provider company for telecommunications and internet technology in Malaysia. It was begun in 1995 where the company used the dialling prefix identifier of ‘012’, ‘014’ and ‘017’. The company offered 900 and 1800 MHz Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) band. After that, the company uses the 2100 MHz Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) band in July 2005. Besides, Maxis was the first to introduce 3G services in this country.
Major Business propositions for Woodmere and HomeHelp The business proposition for Woodmere in this case study is as follows. For the purpose of this assessment, 3 top-in-the-league existing domestic banking groups in terms of asset size have been chosen i.e. Maybank, CIMB, and PublicBank. All 8 domestic banking groups have operations in all the 3 segments of banking businesses namely Commercial, Islamic, and Investment bank. Upon analyzing and assessing their immediate surroundings, the banking groups recognize the following important factors that would impact on their competitiveness. THREAT OF RIVALRY AMONG EXISTING BANKS • Too many players in the industry; Each banking group has to contend with 7 other domestic banking groups and 30 other banking intermediaries both local and foreign, comprising 19 Commercial, 8 Islamic, and 3 Investment banks.
