Bardi Auto – Hungary’s favorite vehicle spare parts distributor The TEMOT Shareholders’ Autumn Meeting is being held in Budapest. As the host, Bardi Auto, could introduce the beautiful city of Budapest to the participants; however, instead we believe it would be more valuable for us to provide a brief overview about the vehicle market in Hungary. We have commissioned a representative market research this spring – the first of its kind in our country – in cooperation with Trend International Kft. 93% considers his/her own vehicle reliable and 58% is fully satisfied with his/her vehicle. Commonly, those who have cars that are older than 10 years start to have concerns. However, even so their satisfaction index reaches 4.5 out of 5. Both the data from KSH and our own research confirm that the most popular brands are Opel, Suzuki, Volkswagen and Ford. These 4 brands account for about half of the registered vehicle park. The majority (83%) of cars use a petrol engine, with an engine displacement of 1100 – 1600 cm3. The rising popularity of the hybrid vehicles and the electric cars has not yet started to gain traction in Hungary. Even when considering these two categories as one, they still only account to a mere 0,4% of the Hungarian vehicle park. It should be noted that the purchase of electric cars is even financially supported by the Hungarian government and even so it has not gained significant popularity. Once the trust is established, it cannot typically be broken. An outstanding rate of 99% of the responders are satisfied with their current service station. This trust is also confirmed by the fact that 47% of the responders allow the garages to use their discretion to select and purchase the necessary spare parts for the job. The remaining 53% of the responders discuss the parts necessary for the job with the mechanic to some extent or they simply purchase the spare parts themselves. Bardi Auto: the love brand Just like picking a service center depends on trust, so does choosing the right spare parts. Even though the price is important, 90% of the responders buy spare parts at spare parts dealers. As one would expect, both awareness and reliability are important factors. We were glad to find that the majority (75%) of the motorists knew Bardi Auto and was mentioned as the first choice by most responders (37%) out of the many car spare parts dealer networks. Our dedication and many decades-long of tireless work has paid off.
