My mother, Wina Bailey, is a hard working woman who is very successful in life. She not only has a satisfying job, but she is also able to care for her family. When Wina graduated high school, she wasn’t able to achieve her college degree right away because of her family struggles. However, when she was 36 years old, Her best friend inspired her to go back to college because even though it took her friend years to achieve a masters degree, yet she persevered and that gave my mom strength mentally in which she was able to say “ I can do that too”. She decided to attend University of Phoenix’s online classes in extent to care for a family of 4 and juggle working full time.
Elizabeth I showed the people of her time that a woman could be a successful ruler (“Elizabeth I” elibrary). Elizabeth I had a substantial impact on society and the women around her. Her appearance, education, and decisions all led up to the legacy she left and the immense impact she had on future queens. To live, study and work with students like me from all across Arkansas, would not only be an honor but an extraordinary and challenging experience for my mental capabilities. Attending ASMSA would be a great opportunity to thoroughly express my hard work ethic and dedication. With my persistence, I could accomplish anything and everything. DDS Scholarship Essay “You must aspire to be someone in life. You must take the opportunities put in your path and make the most of your accomplishments.” My father has always told me this throughout my life and has taught me to never let a chance slip away from my grip. Once the opportunity of receiving this scholarship crossed my path, I had to take it. Several events in my life have shaped me to become the student and person I am today. Once you have achieved greatness in life it 's important to take what you have learned and impart it on the next generation. I n my opinion, the keys to effective leadership are multifaceted. Anyone can be leader you just have to find it within you. It may take others longer or it may just take that one situation to bring a person out of there shell and really show their true colors.

Seeing the instant gratification of my patients when I would help them restored my hope that nursing is my calling. However, during this time my hopes and dreams were being dashed, school after school kept turning me down because my grade point average was not good enough. Then one day I got an acceptance letter from Neumann University saying that I was accepted to their nursing program but they did not have space for me and I would have to change my major to early and special education, I called and accepted this major. Within the week I was contacted by Alvernia University telling me that I needed to finish my application and meet with Dr. Symanski. After consulting with both Dr. Symanski and Dr. Greenawald I was accepted on the spot to Alvernia University, and my hope was restored, I could really live out my dreams of being a nurse.
