The year was 1999, I was eight years old at the time. Taking trip to mexico to visit my grandparents from my dad's side of the family. This would be the first time I had seen them in a couple of years, I had gone before but i was far too young to recall. The trip was long driving from Wyoming to Mexico is half a day drive. Exhaustingly exciting, would be the best way to describe the trip. Finally I see a Mexican flag followed by a sign saying now entering Mexico. After the long trip the first place we go, is to a little restaurant called Camarones Carmen owned by my grandparents themselves. Where we enjoyed the heat, good food and time with our loved ones.

We arrive to Bolsa Chica Beach at 7:19 AM and find a parking spot after three minutes. When we first exit the car, I can see a man zipping up his wetsuit across from us. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and appears to be Asian and in his 30’s. From this point forward, I will be referring to this surfer as Mr. A. His trunk is open and has his surfboard in it which appears to be a hybrid surfboard. He closes his trunk and walks towards the beach. We follow behind, keeping a respectable distance.
