However, I want to do more I want to be able to follow the process from beginning to end and do the evaluations. I want to be able to do the testing and the measuring. I have set out on this journey of health care because I want to help people go from post-operative to back to fully functioning with realistic goals in place. I want to be able to walk the journey with the patients and let them know that they are not on it alone. Through Physical Therapy I feel that patients get more than just rehabilitation of an injury or surgery but they get a change in mindset from injured to functioning independently again as they did before.
They evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly plans to meet their goals. The patients must discuss and be-open minded when trying to achieve these goals. I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for almost seven years. We have had our ups and downs like all relationships but we’ve always been able to overcome our problems. However, our biggest challenge is when I moved to Florida for graduate school. Instead of us moving to Florida together, I decided that it was best that I moved by myself while he stayed in North Carolina.
Throughout this process, I inevitably fostered a deep sense of care and empathy for the patients I was helping. Furthermore, my duties trained me to work collectively with others in order to best serve the needs of the patient. From this experience, I discovered the bliss that comes from helping patients and the desire to continue to serve them alongside peers. The insights from my time at South Coast Physical Therapy taught me to continually strive to serve patients with selflessness and responsibility. If D.P.T students are expected to learn the essentials of becoming a PT, it becomes important for the students to adopt a selfless and caring attitude to experience the joy of serving their

Working full time for the past two years, I have had experience being both a physical therapist aide/technician and even an assistant. I have completed observation hours at Gentilly Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation, where I was a technician to a couple physical therapy assistants and physical therapists. At Gentilly rehabilitation center, I understood the nature of the work by assisting patients through weight training, teaching them the proper way to move around and assisted with recording the progress of each treatment. While observing patients under a physical therapist's supervision, I also had the responsibility of supervising lower level technicians during my support duties. Then the following year I observed at PhysioFit; I had a chance to
After listening to Alice Fasnacht presentation on her journey to being a Physical Therapist helped me better understand what I’m suppose to do to get to where I want to be. Some of the things that I will need to do in order apply to Occupational Therapy and get into it will be keep track of my grades and keep myself motivated because this is a competitive field. If I don’t have good grades it will be difficult for me to get accepted to graduate school. Another thing I will do in order to apply to my profession is take practice tests that will help me have a better test score.

Location After doing some research I’ve learned, according to BLS, California is one of the best places for Physical Therapist, the compensation is one of the highest in the nation, and the number of Physical Therapists employed is #1, meaning they are well needed and kept there.
