Many of my thoughts about nursing as a career are still the same as they were at the beginning of the semester, but there are also many that have changed. To begin with, nursing is still the challenging, complex career that I knew it would be. From the beginning I knew it would take hard work and dedication to be able to complete the tasks that are required to become a registered nurse. I also still know that all of the challenges that I am facing are crucial to becoming a successful nurse. Without these experiences I would not have the best possible knowledge and skill to treat patients in the future. I also still have the feeling of wanting to be able to help these patients, along with the feeling of accomplishment that comes with every aspect of nursing. Along with my feeling of accomplishment, I still maintain my feeling of determination. I am still very determined to try my best and achieve the best grades possible. I am also determined to help improve others well-being. On the other hand, there are some aspects of nursing that my thoughts have changed on since the beginning of the semester. To begin with, I have learned that you are constantly going to be learning new things. Even when you have completed with all of the requirements to become a registered nurse you will still not know everything. I have also come to the realization that it is okay to not know everything and that you will always be learning new information. Most importantly, I have learned that it is okay to make mistakes along the way and that mistakes are one of the best ways that we learn and grow as a nurse.
