Observation Project
For my field observation project, I sat and observed the on goings on a local restaurant and bar called Prime 91 which is a little south of Akron, Ohio. When I walked in I smelled meat and onions and garlic being cooked in the kitchen, a little bit of the musty smell coming from the old coat closest that’s at the front of the restaurant and a faint hint of bathroom cleaner. In the open room where we sat had a 16 seated wooden bar, wood floors and white table clothed tables. Four rectangle tables were against the west wall that was completely made of widows that looked out on a statute of a little girl standing in a large patch of green ivy and behind her were about 10 parking spots where people could park close to the building.

The food there is also delicious so I was not going to turn down a good, free dinner. I have been there before a few times for special occasions but never on a normal Tuesday night. I was not quite sure what to expect as far as the amount of people that would be there but I was pleasantly surprised by the adequate amount of people that I was able to watch from my table. I was a good choice and although nothing super exciting happened it was interesting to think about how I made judgments on people ages and relationships through their appearances and interactions with …show more content…
She made sure they were well taken care of and I’m sure she genuinely cared about them but also wanted to have a good tip at the end of the night. I talked to the manager at the end of my meal and she informed that the people at the bar were all regulars and she told me their some of their names, occupations and relation to each other. From this information and because they were all at least thirty or older I assume that many of them are upper middle class people in terms of their
Right next to that is a giant see through freezer like at Giant or any other grocery store except it is smaller, it is about seven feet tall and about five feet wide. They lead you to some seats but all around are just booths (if you don’t know what booths are, they are basically medium sized couches on both long sizes of the table and the couches are connected to a wood like things and if they’re not on the outsides they have another booth on the other side. The windows on the left side of the restaurant are huge, you can only basically see the parking lot and the road though so that’s a down side of the place but it’s still good.
I don’t know having all this reservation for this small restaurant was little hard to deal with. I had to cut of open table today and stop taking called in reservations today. It was good to see all this guests but it had its flaws too. Alliss had hard time taking her tables today. It seemed see was always falling behind.
You or your daughter weren't there, so I freaked out; however, It turned out well because my guest got an extra hour of drinks that I didn't have to pay for, uffff! Decoration: was beautiful, just how I wanted it. Food: besides the risotto that was bad, everything else was yummy.
For my project I am hoping to give a change to the daycare community is to work with the Preschool teachers of to correct the little Preschoolers misbehavior. I had quite some excitement that I was still going to work with children even though I had to change the topic because there is a bit of difficulties volunteering. When I was volunteering the people in charge of the daycare had me involved with was working with the little preschoolers
I assumed there would be many administration overseeing us. I was thinking it would be like a regular backyard cookout, with the music and the dancing. Basically I thought I was going to be attending stereotypical black cookout. I was scared about going to the cookout, because I have been at Appalachian for only two weeks, so I don’t really
ANTH150 Mini Essay 2: Fieldwork Observation Word Count: 734 I conducted my ethnographic observations over the course of a few days. During my fieldwork observation, I recorded observations of customer behaviour, the general layout of the restaurant, culture significance, and décor. Siam Corner is located in Rouse Hill on Resolution Place. While entering, you can immediately feel the intimate environment of the restaurant and sense the sudden shift from the streets of Sydney to a Thai restaurant. It is viewed as an upscale restaurant with excellent service.
After being blessed by the aroma of the chili, I snap back to reality and my eyes once more continue wandering around the restaurant. The tile on the restaurant 's floor is some sort of beet red and is covered in wet footsteps. I spot a Milky Way wrapper on the floor by the ATM that is next to the entrance door. A couple of teen girls stand by the entrance, babbling obnoxiously about guys and other mean girl subjects. A framed old Westword magazine cover is pinned on the wall next to the kitchen door.
We were shocked and my sister said “maybe we didn’t dress fancy enough and that she thinks that we are Asian and can’t afford the real entrée.” We were about to order more, but because of her rudeness, we decide to just eat the free food and leave for another place. In my sister’s mind that the waitress treated us differently and unfairly because of the clothes we wear, how we look, and probably think that Asians fall into the same typical social group. She ranked us in the lower class and that we will give her a smaller tip no matter how good the service will be; therefore, we don’t deserve a happier
Due to summer holiday it was a very quiet day in the 3-5 room with only 6 children present. The room was set out and there were lots of experiences for the children. One child was quite demanding for adult attention. If he wasn’t getting this he would then increasingly act inappropriately until he got attention. Other children were happily engaged and he would then want to be involved in what they were doing.
At the beginning of the film, we saw Mr. Bean checked in to a hotel, while he was checking in, he saw another customer next to him filling out the same form. For unknown reason Mr. Bean felt competitive and started to compete with the man next to him that was also checking in to the hotel. This went on even when they were going up to their assigned rooms. While the man was taking the elevator up to his room, Mr. Bean was running up the stairs and pushing the elevator bottom on each floor. This cause the elevator stop and open at each floor.
I was twelve at the time when the incident occurred, and on my way from my recent trip to visit my mother and family. I had to wait to be escorted to the entrance to my airplane by a flight attendant by the same flight I’m taking to return back to the United States. When it was time to go through the series of security checkups that had been performed, I was in an unstable emotional state. As I patiently waited for the flight attendant, I allowed my eyes to wander around the airport.
E.M Forster’s A Room With A View challenges the societal values of upper-middle class England, and does so with a love story. Forster paints a visual contrast of societal values with two locations. The locations Forster chose to contrast one another in this story were England and Italy. England represented the patriarchal values of female submission and the strict divide between social classes. Whereas, Italy represented a more free and accepting environment, where social class did not restrict love or acceptance.
A Room With A View Essay A Room With A View by E.M. Forster explores the social constructs of early 20th century well off English folk. Staring off in Florence Italy and then shifting to England, the story follows the events in the life of a young english woman named Lucy Honeychurch. Lucy first finds that she is terribly confused in Italy but upon her return home she realizes what happened to her there was meant to be.
I was so relaxed and got to really enjoy my food and drink not only was the service exceptional but I am craving it as we speak and have told my friends already about it. As having experience in serving I was very impressed with the quality and professional service I was never stressed at any point of my visit. But because I did go during a week day around lunch time I never got to see them in a busier setting so I cant speak for dinner rush but I do suggest lunchtime a great time to go if you want to relax.
How to choose the best furniture to accessorise a teen’s room Designing a room for a teen is challenging work. Teens will outgrow their rooms, and what they like this year may change in a few years or even a few months. It is best to design the room after consulting with your teen, while keeping your budget, the size of the room and practicality in mind.
