Although I am not a fan I do see their place in the writing and educational world. After looking at our short story collection I decided to invest some time in updating it. I didn't really know where to start so I asked my BookGabbers if they had any recommendations. One student had something that she loved and borrowed me a copy of Kiss Me Deadly: 13 Tales of Paranormal Love. The Assassin's Apprentice by Michelle Zink - Descendants of angels wipping out demons on Earth. Could have used more background info. Would like to see it in a longer format. Errant by Diana Peterfreund - A fantasy story of ceremonial unicorn hunts. Not very paranormal and wasn't so hot. The Spirit Jar by Karen Mahoney - A vampire trying to …show more content…
Great writing and a fantastic read. The Spy Who Never Grew Up by Sarah Rees Brennan - I was so lost with who was who in this story I put it down. Frustrating. The Dungeons of Langeais by Becca Fitzpatrick - This is set in Becca's Hush Hush universe with a angel, a man nad two women they are tryng to protect. It was ok. Behind The Red Door by Caitlin Kittredge - Girl meets ghost. Ghost is not too great or interesting much like the story. Hare Moon by Carrie Ryan - Focused on Sister Tabitha from Ryan's The Forest of Hands and Teeth. It expanded how Tabitha became Sister Tabitha and was a wonderful addition to the TFOHAT. Although it was a great read, people who have not read TFOHAF may not know the signifinace of it's character or backstory. Familiar by Michelle Rowen - A cute and funny story of a witch picking her cat familiar who is not what he seems. Fearless by Rachel Vincent - This is set is Vincent's Soul Screamer world and introduces Sabine prior to the series. Sabine is a Mara, a walking nightmare who feeds off of fear who is stuck in a delinquent centre with nothing to eat. Interesting

You are lucky, Little Bird, for you have wings. But you must learn to master them. Look at the baron’s hawk there on her perch. Just because she doesn’t flap her wings all the time doesn’t mean she can’t fly. ”(Cushman 83).
In the future, I can see myself reading the other books in this series written by, Gordon Smith. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a thrilling and scary book. I also don 't recommend this book to anyone who gets scared easily and has
Have you ever read The Angel of Death? If not, save yourself some time and find a new book to read. The Angel of Death, written by Alane Ferguson, is a forensic mystery where the main character’s-Cameryn’s-former teacher was suspiciously killed in his home. Cameryn must find and solve the clues that trace back to the murderer of Brad Oakes. The Angel of Death has its ups and many downs, but there were still some good things, bad things, there some relatable parts, and I will give recommendations on if others should read this book.
The book, A Cold Dark Place by Gregg Olsen has grasped my attention in many different ways that I have enjoyed and has lead me to grade the book an 9/10 (A-). This book is a book that I would recommend to anyone
The book I chose to read for my book review was “ Killing Mr.Griffin”. It is about 5 high school students who hate their english teacher Mr. Griffin and come up with a plan to kidnap him. Their main purpose is to just torture and make Mr. Griffin think he is going to die. The plan takes a tragic turn and results in Mr. Griffin's death. The plan simply falls apart in a domino effect of terror and grief.
As a freshman in highschool, I had never heard of Jane Harper, or read any of her books before this. My English teacher challenged me to pick up a book and read it. Instantly, the cover caught my eye. The book looked like a very compelling novel, so I decided to read it. It just came out in September of 2016, so it is a very new book.
The story and the characters really stood out to me. They really expressed themselves and the setting in the story was very cool to learn about. I enjoyed the pictures in the book because they guide the reader into the setting and the time period in the book. I recommend this book to people who are interested in learning about World War II and people who are interested in biographies and survival stories. One of my favorite quotes from the book was “A lifetime of glory is worth a moment of pain.”
The Haunting of Sunshine Girl is a novel by Paige Mckenzie. The Haunting of Sunshine Girl tells the story of a girl named Sunshine and her friend Nolan. She moves into a new house and ends up going to a new school, but she ends up getting bad feeling everywhere she goes in this new house. Then, they figure out that Sunshine has a unique ability to help light ghosts move on and they end up getting rid of both of the ghosts in her house.
People love a good action-mystery novel especially if it a trilogy as this with two more books

I didn't even know about this book until one of my favorite author rated it on Goodreads, imagined my surprised that Ms Sara Wolf published a Young Adult book about Aliens! Since I am both fan of boarding school novels and Ms Wolf's writing, I had a rather high expectation for this book. It didn't disappoint. This book was solid, and the plot twist was just fantastic.
In this novel, the characters start as strangers who develop into vibrant, real-life people by the end. The author helps the audience get to know the characters by changing narratives in multiple sections. The characters are very relatable as well as realistic. Olivia gives the great advice of “’we all have to put up with the bad days . . . unless you want to be treated like a baby the rest of your life’” to Auggie as a sort of pep talk and showed how she viewed the world (Palacio, 115).
