The Beltway Snipers were a series of coordinated shootings that took place over three weeks in October 2002 in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Ten people were killed and three other victims were critically injured in several locations throughout the Washington D.C., metropolitan area and along Interstate 95 in Virginia. The riots took place from April. 29,1992 until May. 4, 1992, though the riot was not that long, a lot of damage was done during that five day span. In just those five days more than 60 people were killed, more than 2,000 people were injured and 7,000 people arrested. More than 300 buildings were burned down, and nearly one billion dollars worth in property damage.

Amongst these about 6,000 soldiers were nonstop involved in the battle upfront along the Track. Lauderdale, Florida and subsequently disappeared”(Barclay).

It is said that crime rates are higher in the summer than during other seasons. This is probably due to the point that people spend a large portion of there time outdoors and are less likely to secure their homes.
