The riots took place from April. 29,1992 until May. 4, 1992, though the riot was not that long, a lot of damage was done during that five day span. Some Departments have been using body cams and have seen some significant results. “A year-long study in Orlando found use-of-force incidents dropped by 53 percent among officers wearing bodycams and civilian complaints also dropped 65 percent.” ( Should 2) These statistics show that the force by Police Officers decreased significantly for this one city. “More than 1,000 ships and planes have disappeared in the triangle area over the past five centuries and such mysterious incidents on the Atlantic continue to take place even at present days”(Bhattacharya). Even though thousands of lives are lost every year due to magnetic and supernatural forces, the Bermuda Triangle does not exist because the inclement weather in the Gulf causes ships and planes to disappear, and theorists fabricate the mystery to derive attention. The Bermuda Triangle is a mythical area where supposedly aircraft and boats simply disappear with unknown causes (“Bermuda Triangle”). The Bermuda triangle has consumed over 300 ships and 75 aircraft over the years and one of the disappearances that has been emphasized the most was, “On December 5, 1945, five U.S. bombers took off from a U.S. Naval Air Base in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and subsequently disappeared”(Barclay).
It is said that crime rates are higher in the summer than during other seasons. This is probably due to the point that people spend a large portion of there time outdoors and are less likely to secure their homes. Another reason could be because schools are closed, resulting in more chances for criminal activity for younger people. 2. There are numerous factors that account for crime rate trends.
Should Body Cameras Be Permitted In All Police Departments? A recent University of South Florida study, which examined the effects of body cameras within the Orlando Police Department, found a 65 percent drop in complaints against officers. Cops who wore the cameras had a 53 percent reduction in officers use of force. The debt on cops wearing body cameras has gone for quite some time now, and the truth is body cameras should be permitted in all police departments. There have been numerous amounts of deaths and accusations between officers and the victims who have had an encounter with them.
Euthanasia is a debatable topic that has recently gained a lot of attention. It is also referred to as physician assisted suicide. Euthanasia was first created and used for terminally ill patients or patients who live with very painful diseases. It is an option that some terminally-ill patients have considered and in my opinion, an option that every terminally-ill patient should have available to them. Euthanasia enables individuals to make a tough decision, but a decision that should be up to an individual to make; whether a terminally ill individual wants to die should be their decision without an outsider’s input.
