What are the impacts of having a belief system.

The impacts of a belief system are both positive and negative for an individual, but can have negative impacts for countries and larger institution.

Belief is a state of mind in which a person thinks something to be the case with or without being empirical evidence to prove that something is the case with factual certainity. Philosophers use the term belief system to refer to personal attitudes associated with true or false ideas and concepts. Beliefs are sometimes divided into core belief and dispositional belief. Buddhism is divided into 2 different teaching, “Mahayana and Theravada”. The teaching of Mahayana got spread through Nepal, Tibet, China, Mongolia, Japan, Korea and Vietnam while Theravada got spread through Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. So many religion in the world and Buddhism is one of those. 7 continent in the world and Buddhism gets to be the Main in Asia. But then according to research, Asia is the second continent that has the most war and conflict through out the world. If the Continent is suppose to be a Buddhist continent that teaches peace, then why are there wars. Even China alone got more than 500 battles throughout the history. Some of them are due to invasion, some of them are to conquer lands but most of them are just having wars against each people to have the authorities and lands. This isn’t the end. Christianity and Muslim got spread all the way throughout the European continent but the continent got 3 times as much war as the continent in Asia all combined together. So is religion having a impact on those wars and conflicts? Throughout history, there are even wars between religions and belief system. Different religions are forcing different people to have the same belief system like theirs just in order to take control over. If so, is belief system actually making conflict?
