Wow. Did we actually have a week of football without a crazy injury? Around fantasy playoff time no less?! We’ll chalk up last week’s injury-free week in the fantasy world as a win, but there’s still a lot of big names that are shelved for the season. If you are someone like me who has struggled mentally, physically and emotionally with all these injuries in your season long leagues, daily fantasy is the place to look.
Luke Kuechly, a first round draft pick in 2012, is a 25 year old linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. Kuechly is obviously one of the best inside linebackers to play the game as he has already made three trips to the Pro Bowl, was awarded First-Team All-Pro selection three times, and was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2012. He has a clear passionate for the game, yet the star may be closer to retirement than he and his fans hope. Kuechly has already received two threatening concussions in his past two seasons that would likely negatively impact his future health and well-being. Fans wait in fear to see if their star defender will ever return to the game.
Robert Griffin3 or Johnny Manziel is one the biggest debates that have come into the history of the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys are looking for a quarterback that can backup Tony Romo when he is injured. These to past Heisman trophy winners have come into the NFL with high expectation but neither one have lived up to their goals. Johnny Manziel went to the Cleveland Browns to with the team on his shoulders but he has steady been letting the team down. With getting in trouble about missing practices and costly sneaking off to go to practices.
An offseason full of changes brought a new level of anticipation for the Philadelphia Eagles’ preseason opener as they were able to slightly calm eager Philly fans worries with an impressive 36-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles’ new backfield of Oklahoma alums Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray did not play in the contest with Mark Sanchez and Ryan Matthews taking first team snaps but the Philadelphia offense was still able to show glimpses over their high scoring attack. Sanchez started slowly in his initial drive missing his first two attempts of the game highlighted by underthrowing a possible long gain to Trey Burton. While Sanchez never looked exceedingly sharp he was able to manufacture an Eagles
I know they have lost Jordy Nelson (Wide Reciever #87) for the whole season with a torn ACL (during preseason) and that 's really tough! Now, mind you the Packers are still managing without him, but it 's not the same! Aaron Rodgers (Quarterback #12) has been just handing the ball to Eddie Lacy (Running Back #27) and even though he is a huge guy with a lot of talent, it doesn 't always help the Packers much to only move 5 or 10 yards in one play. Also Rodgers like to throw to Davante Adams
Many individuals experience different amounts of failure in their lifetimes. Many learn and grow from their defeats and others let it keep them from succeeding. I made sure that failure was another obstacle to success. Icons like Randy moss didn’t let failure get the best of him when he didn’t make the freshman high school football team, and look at him now, he is one of the best Football players of all time.
Coach Harold said to me, and the team “,Pratt” this last minute was left for you to get us this win and a championship! I thought to myself “I’ve done this all year”, in this game I had 4 touchdowns, and scored most of
Greg Olsen is entering his fifth season with the Carolina Panthers and become the most underrated tight end in the league in my opinion. He has no doubt become old reliable for quarterback Cam Newton to play breaks down or he just needs to find his rhythm. Olsen is coming off his best year as a pro with 84 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns that productivity resulted in his first Pro bowl selection. 2015 I predict much of the same especially with the loss of Kelvin Benjamin and the sudden inexperience at the wide receiver position. Thank you Chicago Bears for giving us one of the best tight ends in football much
The Packers’ run defense was ranked dead last through the first half of the 2014 season, giving up an average of 176 rushing yards per game through week 4. Defensive coordinator Dom Capers made sure that changed. After Green Bay’s week 9 bye, they move outside linebacker Clay Matthews to inside linebacker to help stop the run. The next week, the Packers beat the Bears in a lopsided game, 55 to 14. Chicago averaged only 2.3 yards per carry that game.
Kelly was fired;Philadelphia moved up in the draft to snag Carson Wentz. That vote of no Confidence provoked a rare fit of pique in the usually even Bradford, who announced he Wanted a trade. Helping Bradford come to peace with being stuck in Philly, sharing the Position with the team’s QB of the future, was his Christian faith in general and a passage From the Book of James in particular. :Another Mike Yorkey Six weeks into what is shaping up to be another Stephen King kind season in Cleveland,Pryor is the lone beam of sunlight.
An interim option for Houston would be free agent running back Pierre Thomas, who played for the New Orleans Saints for eight seasons before his release on March 4. No team had shown interest for the Super Bowl XLIV champion as of yet, and the Texans are discussing a potential deal with the 30-year-old. Even so, Bleacher Report’ Gary Davenport noted that it would not be the flawless temporary repair that O’Brien is looking for and the team may have to “explore outside options” until Foster returns. The problem with Houston’s predicament is that it happened too close to opening day and most of the quality free agent running back that may fill in for Foster are already settled with their respective teams. Davenport said that to say Foster’s injury was “bad news” would be “an understatement” for the Texans given the running back’s importance to their whole scoring strategies, which operate mainly on the former Tennessee standout running the
Fans agree that letting Matthews go was a good decision since he tore his ACL during a game, which would obviously poorly affect his game this season. Matthews took the 4 year $70
Left It All Out On The Field This quote is from the daily record, mentioning me after the Smithville football game. “As much as he tried to fight it, Chippewa’s Jake Hall couldn 't control his emotions. Like many of his teammates, the senior linebacker left just about everything he had in him on the field friday night in a 23-20 overtime win at Smithville in Wayne County Athletic league play”. This was by far my best game of my senior year football season.
What kind of ethics and determination does it take to not miss a day of work for 18 whole years from age 23 to 41? On September 20th, 1992, Don ‘The Magic Man’ Majkowski tore a ligament in his ankle against the Cincinnati Bengals, kicking off an untouchable record in NFL history. Brett Favre started the next game on 9/27/92, played every Sunday for the next 18 years, 19 seasons, until December 5th, 2010 in a game against the Buffalo Bills when an AC sprain in his right shoulder caused him to be inactive the next week, ending the unreal record at 297 consecutive regular season starts, 321 including the playoffs. In addition, the next closest streak is 208/227 for Peyton Manning from ’98 till ’11, furthermore, the three closest active-streaks today are owned by Peyton’s younger brother Eli which has 174/185 since ‘04, San Diego’s Phillip Rivers, who is at 151/160 since ’06, and Baltimore’s Joe Flacco claiming 119/134 consecutive regular season/playoff starts since ‘08.
• If you watched the game on Sunday you noticed Corey White taking Tyler Patmon’s spot as the nickel cornerback. What the coaches’ love about White is his size, and ability to play the nickel position. Very instinctive as well as active during the game he was all over the field in good position most of the times. You could almost see why the coaches made this switch during the week, which could be permanent the rest of the season.
