Ben Roethlisberger curious about the Steelers performance if they were to remain healthy
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive last season finished in the second place in the NFL in terms of yards per play while they emerged fourth in scoring despite the power trio of Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell and Ben Roethlisberger never playing in the whole game together. What is extremely enthusiastic is the fact that Roethlisberger who is entering his thirteenth season as the Pittsburgh’s starting quarter –back told the USA TODAY after his team’s opening practice of training in the camp last week that he wondered what it would be like if everybody was there and everyone was in the field. If the team stays healthy and put to the end their performance

Bell may be the NFL’s best all-round back is occupied with the appeal of a four game suspension for missing numerous drug tests. Martavis Bryant, who is the Pittsburg’s No.2 receiver, has been banned for any participation in this season due to his substance abuse violations.
At a certain juncture, the cocktail of poor judgment and bad luck figures is going to reduce leading to reorganization of the NFL’s quarterback, running back and receiver combination. Considering the time that has lapsed sine the trio managed to stay in the game for entire 60 minutes as back in December 21, in 2014 leaving everyone speculating what this type of offence is capable of yielding.
Todd Haley, offensive coordinator, said that the most prudent approach is to remain focused on the task at hand and try and reap the most out the players. He added that they are trying to see how good they can get every day which will be a sign of how really good their chances

In Cincinnati, they won their playoff opener but Roethlisberger sprained AC joint in the shoulder and ligament damage thanks for the hit from a linebacker called Vontaze Burfict. A foot injury was responsible for the veteran DeAngelo Williams missing both playoff games which left Steelers without their most reliable tailbacks. Roethlisberger later concluded that the key to a successful and fruitful season is staying healthy. It is really straining when you are in and out.
The good news for Steelers now is that they are healthy. Roethlisberger, 34, before the camp had an MRI which showed his shoulder had fully healed without undergoing surgery. Brown, 28, and Bell,24, joined Roethlisberger in the team drills in the start of camp. It was also interesting to see center Maurkice Pouncey in action too after suffering multiple leg surgeries last season.
Todd Haley admitted that despite his vast experience of twenty years as a coach that it is always an uphill task to keep everybody together.
Bell’s status for the first four games might not be clarified until the September 12 opener against Washington Redskins on the Monday Night Football. Another setback is the retirement of veteran Heath Miller that leaves yet another
After any loss his team suffered, he would admit his mistakes and not try and blame others. Another trait would be resilience. Even after he suffered a painful neck injury that required surgery and was let go by the Indianapolis colts, he kept going. Eventually he was signed by the Denver Broncos, and won Super Bowl 50 in his last year playing football. (Campbell)
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford was quoted in a recent report by Bleeding Green Nation’s Brandon Lee Gowton saying “I’m just excited to get back out there. I think there are some butterflies in there getting back out on the field knowing that I’m going to take a few hits, take them, get up, and get going again." Bradford’s eagerness to absorb blows was challenged early in the Eagles’ 40-17 preseason victory over the Baltimore Ravens at Lincoln Financial Field. During Philadelphia’s first drive, the Ravens struck the Oklahoma alum twice as nose tackle Brandon Williams exploded into Bradford’s chest, and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs took a perceived dirty shot at the oft-injured quarterback’s knee on a read option.
When coming to the Patriots, Belichick quickly set his ideals in stone. It has provided success, and the only way to beat it is “with talent and smarts. And a willingness to fight” (388). Thus, the only way to win against the Patriots is to play their own game, which helps describe their dominance and the effect they have had on the game. Furthermore, After the Patriot’s Super Bowl win in 2015, Julian Edelman told Belichick, “‘I’ll do anything for you coach’” (346), demonstrating the profound impact Belichick had on the league and his own players.
1. Left Perspective: This article by Shaun King mostly discussed a big victory this past NFL season, and it wasn't the Eagles' Bowl win. It was the decrease in NFL season and super bowl ratings as a result of television boycotts lead by the African- American community. The boycott is a consequence of the NFL "blacklisting" former NFL signal- caller Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the National Anthem, as a part of a silent protest against police brutality and systematic racism. This boycott was simply doing other things or watching channels besides NFL football on Sundays.
For years there have been football teams who have craved that one starting quarterback that will finally bring them to the “promise” land. The land of championship trophies, honorable accomplishments and of course ginormous victories that teams have worked so hard all year to accomplish. Whether it be high school, college, or the National Football League,In football players crave that feeling of walking off the field as a champion knowing they accomplished their goal and left all they had out on that field. Having a valuable quarterback really influences the possibilities of winning a championship. Even though occasionally a fairly superb team can win championships without a decent quarterback but, that is a fairly rare phenomenon compared
2015 has been full of injuries, muffs, miffs and miscues for the Dallas Cowboys, who are currently in last place in the NFC East after their 27-20 hard fought loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. Even when the Cowboys’ run first philosophy finally had a breakout performance, gashing the Giants’ defense for 233 team rushing yards, with Darren McFadden handling a heavy workload (29 of the teams 41 attempts for 152 yards and score), it wasn’t enough for the Cowboys to stop the bleeding. With Matt Cassel under center, the passing game was able to make plays beyond shallow distances, but protecting the football continued to be the prime downfall for the Cowboys, as Cassel threw three interceptions (all in the second half) and receiver/punt returner
They started off to a good with a 2-0 record against the Arizona Cardinals and against his home town, New Orleans Saints. They lost to the team that drafted Manning for the first pick of the National Football League after they started off to a good season. They bounced back in the season and made it to the Super Bowl. They faced the New England Patriots and came out with a win and a ring. They named Manning the Most Valuable Player for his performance.
In 2015, the NFL reported 271 concussions through practices, games, and workouts in the 2015 season alone (Breslow). The NFL is the most popular sport in the US (McGarry and Schwartz). It’s competitiveness and excitement were all people focused on until players recognized the true effects concussions can have on a player. Today, only a handful of players come out and speak about the problem, addressing their concerns. The cost of speaking out could be that you would lose respect from your teammates and coaches, as they are trying to preserve a game that they love.
Now in 2016, Ben Roethlisberger is the only active player out of the three. When looking at the top 10 player jerseys in 2016 on nflshop.com, none of the players are found in the top ten. Obviously, star players retiring results in a loss of revenue, it is interesting to note in this day and age NFL players are retiring earlier than ever because they know of the head trauma caused by playing the dangerous game of football, when they retire they leave behind millions of dollars of possible team revenue. It is not just the star players that are getting old but the entire team is one of the oldest in the NFL. According to a study done on the entire NFL, the data shows in 2015 the Steelers had the seventh oldest team in the league
Breaking over 9 Quarter Back records, and potentially various more in the future, people either hate or love New England Patriot Quarter Back, Tom Brady. Generally speaking, there is no between. The real question is: "to hate or not to hate" this record-breaking beast, with 4 Super Bowl rings on his hand. Simple; not to hate. With scandals such as "Deflate Gate," and "Spy Gate,"Tom Brady has been accused of cheating several times.
I know that with our high school football team I don’t want to be remembered as the kid that had it in him, just wouldn’t put in the effort and was focused on the wrong things. Instead, Mariota is the perfect role model for high school athletes because he never stopped his grind, he did what he set out to do and is only getting better. The way I see it is one can do all the talking and get all the attention in the world but if one doesn’t do anything with it then what 's the point? The way I see it is there is always work to be done, just because I might of reached the goals I’m aiming for, doesn’t mean that’s all for me to do, someone else is working for the same goals as me.
In the true story based movie and the documentary, the dangers of head injuries in football are laid out for the viewer. Dr. Bennet Omalu discovered the brain injury chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE; however, the NFL was in denial about the effects football had on the brain and had on causing CTE. I believe that the NFL’s denial to the accusations were detrimental to many football players and that serious consideration should be taken into the way football is played overall. When Dr. Omalu originally diagnosed CTE on Mike Webster and the NFL denied that football was the cause for his death and disease.
Tom Brady is considered as one of the top quarterback in NFL history. Why not? Afterall Brady has won four Super Bowl championships and two MVP Awards with his association in the New England Patriots. Brady is a graduate of Michigan University and is of age 38.
He broke a finger throwing a ball in Arizona. In conclusion I think that tony has been successful because even when he broke lots of bones he keeps playing. He had a back surgery, in 11/23/2014 but now he is fully recovered. As a football player Tony’s records are really good.
Humanities Capstone: Tom Brady People should always have someone they look up to. Most people look up to celebrities or their parents. Having a role model can be good for many people. They can help you through many times in your life. I look up to Tom Brady, the New England Patriots quarterback.
