The relationship between globalization and environment could not be analyzed merely based on evidence particularly favorable to one side and should be examined more comprehensively. Overall, the inexorable spread of globalization indeed promotes the awareness of sustainability and encourages international scientific and technical cooperation to overcome the environmental challenge. However, it is evident that globalization has produced grave damage to the environment of the entire earth. The selfishness of human nature and the competitive characteristic of globalization are the major obstacles people are facing when dealing with conflicts between the financial interests and the environmental ones.
