Devoted people in professions such as an Occupational Therapist, work to help their patients recover his or her ability to engage in everyday activities. It is evident that an OT is to help people. There are many duties, characteristics, and qualities an OT should have in order to have a successful career. I asked Dr. Lindberg, “What are your duties or daily routine being an OT?” Dr. Lindberg answered, “There are many duties of being an OT, we must evaluate a patient’s progression and prepare detailed reports of that, test patient’s physical and mental abilities to regulate rehabilitation goals, handpick activities that will help the patients learn life skills within their capabilities, and recommend changes in patient’s living environments
These duties required a thoughtful approach because of the patient demographic I was helping. Throughout this process, I inevitably fostered a deep sense of care and empathy for the patients I was helping. Furthermore, my duties trained me to work collectively with others in order to best serve the needs of the patient. From this experience, I discovered the bliss that comes from helping patients and the desire to continue to serve them alongside peers. The insights from my time at South Coast Physical Therapy taught me to continually strive to serve patients with selflessness and responsibility.
The importance of personalized exercise gives students a sense of focus, control, and motivation, and regular exercise will give a satisfying result. Furthermore, it will establish enjoyable physical activity as a lifestyle (Wygand, 2001). As one of the principles of exercise training is” Individuality” states that no to persons are the same and their rate of adaptation to the same workload differs. Its individual –specific, the exercise program should cater the individual needs and preferences depending on the goals, fitness attributes, lifestyle and nutritional preference (Callo,2016). According to Dajime (2016) that before engaging in the exercise program and designing a personalized exercise program, should take the screening program just like the battery test or the physical fitness testand encourage to use the FITT principle a personalized training program.
Chiropractics is a good career for someone who wants to help people everyday. Being a chiropractor is a good career choice because or benefits, working conditions and daily tasks. An Athletic Trainer must have a put other people first caring outstanding attitude. Athletic Trainer 's job is to nurse people back to health and most athletic trainers build bonds with their clients this would call for a upbeat caring attitude you really have to have a passion for this job if you 're going to do it. Athletic Trainers a lot of time gain
Self actualisation is another strength to this form of therapy as it “helps the client to fully concentrate on themselves and guide in decision making for growth and develop into an honest, selfless and independent person” according to Mearns (1994). This helps the client to have autonomy, gives them self growth and self acceptance and all of which I feel are necessary for Gloria. Rogers strives on having a good relationship between the client and therapist whereas Ellis believes that this is not necessary for effective counselling session or for personality change. However, the negative side to person-centred counselling could be that the client is not challenged by anyone as the therapist does not give opinions or suggestions. There is no structure to the therapy session and therefore it relies on the client to be heavily involved in the counselling session and this maybe too optimistic for some clients as they are not getting answers, so they may find it hard to progress.
My answer: Based on the blueprint for teaching cultural competence in physical therapy association, updated by American Physical Therapy Association, 2014, some of the core values of a physical therapist are clinical excellence and social responsibility.Physical therapists should practice flexibility and possess the ability to understand every person's behavior, as well as their way of life due to cultural practices. Physical therapists fall under the three cross-cultural stages, such as knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity. Cultural competence is essential to all health care providers. To provide an excellent quality of care to our patient, we must know a person's culture, just like entering the patient's world. Once a person is in their world, it is very easy to accommodate their way of life.
Lastly, Physical Education has taught me many principles such as how to be responsible for my own actions, the importance of being on time and prepared, and it has taught me how to use teamwork to achieve a common goal. It is also important to learn about the six domains of education because in the cognitive domain, students will learn information of how to keep themselves physically fit and how to live long and healthy lives.
When it becomes too easy, you won’t reap the gains that you have been striving for. At that point, you will need to increase the intensity of the exercise to maximize your fitness, which may strain your muscles beyond their current limit once again. If you’re a newbie to the gym and are experiencing your first bout of DOMS, you can rest assured that you’re in good company. Athletes, fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders who continually push their workouts to increase endurance, strength and muscle mass can experience DOMS when they increase the intensities of their workouts. Anyone can be affected by DOMS, but not just any exercise causes it.
