Martial art is defined as self defence that widely practiced as a sport (Merriam-Webster, n.d). There are many types of martial arts in this world nowadays. Different martial arts have their own different way of fighting and defending. It is the way to survive in different situations in centuries ago. It is mostly based on traditional fighting methods used by our older generations. There are many names involved in martial arts history. In this modern technology world, advancement in technology causes obesity and many more of deadly diseases. For example, obesity can cause many harmful killer diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer. Fatal outcomes may be faced to those who have these diseases. Martial art trainings can overcome obesity. Martial arts trainings will also improve cardiovascular health and the reflexes can be improved because continuous trainings will improve our blood flow of blood circulations and good blood flow can ensure a good health condition. Learning martial art is the great way to tone and strengthen our muscles. Muscles play a vital role in our movement our body and acts as energy storing place. Throughout the hard training, we can improve our body’s flexibility and agility. Regular physical activity will help students for effective weight loss of our body. This will boost our body’s metabolism and lowers the body’s insulin level. Martial art also will be helpful for burning of calories and tones the muscle into a great shape. This will also help us to lose weight and maintain a good posture. Good posture of body can be beneficial for our health and it will make us look better and young. As a human being, it is a normal thing to do mistakes. Students must learn from the mistakes that been done by them and correct the mistakes next time. A good martial art trainee will teach the skills in order to show the good attitudes that can be shown through martial arts toward society. The main aim of martial art is to teach the students to defend, but not to attack. A defensive step is much more beneficial than attacking as it can help us to prevent a big fight that may resulted from our bad decision. Martial art encourages non-violent conflict resolution in critical situations when faced by the students (Myers, 2013). Students also will get the chance to release their anger in the class when they sparring. Martial arts opens the chance for the students to test their skills with another trained personal and also it can teach us the way of anger management. Martial arts have the ability to teach the ways to manage our time properly because time is gold. The time that we wasted won’t return as we are going through a lot of things every day. A good martial art trainee will help us to identify our weakness that and help us overcome it. Students can make positive behaviors as a routine in their life. This can be realised if we put our all of our efforts and train the martial art skills that is available.
