Second it messes with students and parents schedule. Plus it ruins summer. Most schools go 180 days a year with breaks in between then you get out and can enjoy your summer June through July. With year round schools you still go the traditional 180 days, of course with breaks in between, but you have to go to school in the summer so all you get off in the summer is June. There are a lot of reasons why you shouldn’t go to a year round school, here are a few.
I think there should be four day school weeks because students most likely want more free time out of school. The school days will end at 4:00 or maybe 4:30 pm because regular school days wouldn’t be enough learning time. This way we could have longer class periods and it’ll help because you’ll get the help you need and work will be handed in on time. Every student has missing work, longer school days help you get some of it all in and grades will be up. Plus, maybe students could do a little work on the day that they won’t have school.
Attention-Getting Device: Spring Break remains one of colleges biggest traditions in the United States. It has gained the spotlight of college movies, shows, and other sorts of media. About 600,000 college students around the nation look forward to this week now a days more than children do for Santa Clause. Introduction: This caught the attention of my naive friends and I so we thought “why not” and decided to take an adventure into the unknown world of this college holiday. I am from a small town in Southern California called Highland.
Hi everyone! It 's Ericka. This upcoming spring I have the opportunity to finish my middle school years with a over night 8th grade field trip to Boston. This field trip is to be a lot of fun and lasts a few days, but it 's going to be a bit costly. My school is trying to run a fund raiser to help pay some of the expenses for this trip.
Spending time with the same 20 kids for 5 years and some for 9 years, you become a small family-- the North Cape family that you see more than your real family during certain times. Getting to see everybody every day can get tiring, in which you want out, but realizing that I 'm going to actually graduate in 15 days, it makes me think of all the good times and how I’m going to miss not going to the same school as my brother and having to make new bonds with new people nonstop and getting new teachers every year that could care more than others or not care as much, and to me 90% of a teacher 's job is caring for
Pathos: When most of us were little we all when to each other's birthdays parties mainly on the weekend but sometimes we would go on the weekdays. So why should it change now? We are more grown up so why not allow us to go to parties now when we can make better decisions than we did when we were little kids and back then we didn't even know the difference between chocolate and dirt because both were edible when we were little. The party would let me relax and help me take a break so when I come back to work I would be able to focus more and not be stressed the whole night. Logos: What the big deal about going to a party on a school day it should be fine as long as I come back early and do not stay for too long?
If your child has already attended preschool successfully, they are probably ready for summer camp and could enjoy trying some new activities this summer. A full day of camp is often too much for younger kids. At Apple Creek Private Preschool, preschool summer camp in Frisco, TX takes place for one week from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This type of schedule requires students to have two separate schedules each term basically. On Monday the students will follow Schedule A, on Tuesday they will follow Schedule B, and then it will go back to Schedule A on Wednesday. The next week would start with Schedule B on Monday and so on. Semesters usually offer 4 or 5 credits each schedule, so if School District 25 were to go back to its semestral calendar, it could offer almost 10 credits per term. Even if the district did not do an A-B type schedule, they could offer more credits per term to reach the graduation requirement.
Most students enjoy summer vacation, but some educators feel that the summer break is too long and that students do not retain information as easily when they return in the fall. Some people argue that there should be year-round schools, where there would be a 3–4 week break in the summer, a longer winter break, and a week off in the spring and fall. Does this sound like a good idea to you? Why or why not? Take a position on the issue.
